What will it be?

If you had to choose the ride what would you choose?

Has Disney announced anything to do with refurbishment?

I would refurb Haunted Mansion and add some more special effects, but not take away from what is already there...aka what they did with POTC.

I hear that there may be some refurbishment heading towards EPCOTS way?

What say you? Radiohost:cool:

The MK has 3 big ones on the way over the coming year to 18 months - though hasn`t announced them officially yet - apart from Peter Pans Flight and the TTA that pretty much brings the parks main attractions up to standards (the TTA looks like it`s having some after hours TLC anyway)

Epcot is another matter. Siemens looks like a dead cert to give SSE a makeover - the Global Neighborhood area has signs up - though nothing is on paper regarding the ride there have been many inside comments about the attraction, especially reworking 180top and the descent section.

Energy - had new carpets before Christmas, but really only a complete rehab would do anything good to the pavilion now. Nothing mentioned.

Life - will get a dust down before next Christmas.... surely Disney won`t be so dumb to mothball it again? Didn`t they learn from Horizons?

Test Track - seems to have constant tinkering of show effects

Imagination - Please! - though after some initial rumour and murmours on the grapevine it`s gone quiet again.

The Land will stand for another few years yet; though I doubt Circle of Life will last as long

Seas - nothing official (as always), but Turtle Talk is looking likely to move into the old Theatre 2. More when than if.

The Studios - seems to have a much larger image problem.

Well official refurbs that come to mind are RnRC, and El Rio de Tiempo in Mexico. From my understanding RnRC is just a general spit and polish refurb but there will be some significant work done on El Rio de Tiempo including the addition of the three Caballeros.
Other rumored refurbs include HM, Space Mountain, JC and Imagination. Of those I think HM and JC are the most likely followed by Space Mountain and Imagination.

I think Space Mountain needs a big facelift. Its been beat by the DL verison for years, and Haunted Mansion is also due for some refurb.

Imagination - Please! - though after some initial rumour and murmours on the grapevine it`s gone quiet again.

Not as quiet as you would think... its just slowed a little due to a little mishap with the budgeting for The Seas with Nemo, but then again, without the extra money transplant from our other "awaited" project, Nemo's finale wouldn't have been as high tech...

But again, remember that just because the hype dies down, it doesn't mean that the project is dead too, because I can again confirm that it (I mean he) isn't...

In fact, he will start to pop up here and there (and has briefly already)... :animwink:

Funnily enough, you just seen the thread about MiceChat?

Yes, but that was after I replied...

Lets just say that some old costumes have been dusted off for some later test audiences, measurements are currently being made around the pavilion and work is in progress to go for a new assigned opening date (not in time for Epcot's 25th like previously planned), a date which will take place in 2008.

I hope the next ride to get a refurbishment is Soarin'. I wouldn't mind seeing a new video of the entire United States to soar over. In addition, I would like to see Space Mountain be given some attention regarding the upkeep of the attraction. On my last trip it seemed like everytime I went to ride Space Mountain, it had some sort of machanical malfunction.

"Howdy folks, this is your ol' pal Goofy talkin' from the cockpit."

Apparently the news on soarin will be a new video called soarin over the world. This will include various stops at places of interests around the globe, which will go well with world showcase. I dont see this happening though for some time. Radiohost:cool:

i pray to the gods that they actually do something with space mountain.... it doesnt need to be like the one in paris - but a complete gutting would be great - and to have a proper launch hill instead of flashing lights and a deafaning keyboard sound affect which reminds me of a toy light gun i used to have.

Id like a version of the dlrp put in its place - but i think thats not really what the futureworld in magic kingdom needs (i.e a thrill coaster) as on a whole the ride would need to attract the younger audience too.

Disney have a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE indoor area to play with - make it single track, faster and alot more steeper and you get a thumbs up from me, even go far to make it a bit more extrreme - in a good sense. Not where it is at the moment where you feel that the rickety tracks underneath are going to buckle taking you with them :lookaroun

SPACE MOUNTAIN

the ride is always having mechanical failures, on new years eve we waited on line 30 mins, in which the ride broke down twice, and after the 2nd breakdown they told us a sensor had blown and it would be 45mins-1hr fix time!

It's been said that the Haunted Mansion is next in line to get a BIG rehab.

It's supposedly going to start in May.

Any idea when in May??? We're going the 16th and it's my favorite! I do think it needs a rehab but hope it's after.
I also agree about Space Mountain. I would imagine they would have to make that one a really, really quick "makeover" given that it's one of their most popular attractions.
