What pop varieties are available ?

I asked this question in another thread, but didn't want it to get lost in the 15 or so pages on refillable mug controversy !

I know that the line is exclusively Coke products, but can anyone tell me just what is available in the refill stations at the resorts ? I'm hoping that Vanilla Coke, or at least Cherry will be there. (My husband's addicted.. )

Also, is hot chocolate available also ?

Thanks everyone !

I am pretty sure they had Vanilla Coke. But now that I actually focus and try to remember, it's hazy. But gut reaction was yes, it's there.

And I love that you called it pop. Haven't heard that since I lived in the midwest five years ago. Brought me back to childhood :)

I wondered if I should have changed that, but its too ingrained in me to call it anything else. I was born and raised in Ohio. At 28 I moved to Florida and lived there for 6 years or so. EVERYONE kept asking me if I was from Pittsburgh ! ( actually, my hometown is about an hour away.)

I NEVER adjusted to saying "soda". Reminds me too much of the Seinfeld episode.

We called it tonic when I was growing up.

Yes, hot chocolate is available. Coffee and iced tea too.

Neither pop nor soda here in S.C. It's a soft drink (as opposed to the stuff we often put in them to make it 'not-a-soft' drink!)
I've only seen the standard coke/diet coke/sprite/orange at the ones I recall, WL and AS. Maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention, since those four cover my family.

Pop...

It's also pop for me(close to Chicago). I used to think it was funny when my Uncle who was from the south would call it soda. I also like how some people just call it Coke, no matter what kind of pop it is. They definitely have Vanilla Coke at Pop Century and Cherry Coke at All-Star Music. Other than those two resorts, I'm not sure.

I really have not seen much of the "Side soda lines" at wdw, much of the fountain machines stick to the original lines (Reg coke, diet, etcc)

Yay for Pop!!! I grew up in Ohio and haven't lived there in years, but I still insist on pop over soda. When I lived in Philadelphia people would pretend that they didn't understand what I was asking for (for goodness sakes people! What other product sold at McDonald's could be referred to as pop!)

I call it soda. People make fun of me for it. When we lived in Michigan it was pop and I would say soda just to be different. I'm not a good blender.

Anyway, at ASMovies they had Cherry Coke. My DH loves Vanilla Coke so I hope they have it now. :slurp:

Yeah I live in Ohio and we call it pop and when I went to North Carolina for the summer everyone would give me like "what was that?" look joking of course. Another thing that people found funny was that I called a lollipop a sucker. is that a north/midwest thing too?

They do serve hot chocolate. I took advantage of that when we went down during last spring break. hmmm sooo good. :slurp:

Well here in south Georgia, "soda" or "coke" is used - and "coke" can mean any flavor, but usually cola flavor. I've always attributed that to the fact that Coca-Cola is from Atlanta. I'm also familiar with "pop", since my mother's from Milwaukee, WI (I've never heard her use "pop", but her parents always did)

I call it pop, too. I kindof hated it in school cause my maiden name was pop but spelled different. I wasn't the only family with the pop last name. My maiden name was Paup and other family was Popp. Plus I hated that my name was a sentence....... ______ (my first name) Mae Paup. But my mother always told me that I will not be stuck with a sentence as my full name forever. Well, I got married 4+ yrs ago to wonderful guy. I still have a sentence as my full name.... _______ (first name) Mae Stahl (Stull). This middle name has been in my family for 5 generations. I'm proud to be carrying this name on. But I have to laugh, at least I'm not going to pop anymore but just stull.

Wow ! Nice to know there are so many fellow Ohio residents here ! And, Gail, "tonic" is a new one to me.

When I lived in Florida I met a wonderful Southern woman, born and raised for generations in the deep south and there truly aren't that many natives in the Daytona area ! What I thought was really charming was that she called it " Co-Cola". Left out that second syllable.
