Once upon a time, DHS was my favorite. I loved walking around the back areas, especially at night. The theming in the NYC area and towards the entrance was so immersive. And ST is a long time favorite of mine (i'm a huge star wars nerd). And GMR was just a classic.

It makes me angry just typing this out because I feel like... where did my favorite park go?

Oh well, I'm excited for the new star wars stuff, but right now my favorite park has to be Epcot. Even if MK is the classic WDW experience, I don't feel like I'm really at WDW until I walk around WS.

This is not even close. The Magic Kingdom. Classics. I like WDW parks in the order of their creation, best to worst. Which is not to say I don't like Animal Kingdom, I do. Very much. The studios are great, too. Not at their greatest just at the moment with everything that has been closed to make way for new things, though. Would LOVE to see new countries in World Showcase. Would love for them to have built all the attractions planned for all the countries in World Showcase.

AK for theming.
I just really love the attention to detail.

Magic Kingdom for nostalgic purposes.
MK is Disney World.
Matter of fact, the first time I ever went to WDW - I believe it was the year that it opened - that's all there was.
No Epcot, No MGM, No AK.
When I took my sons to WDW I introduced them to it by going to Magic Kingdom first, even though we were staying at Boardwalk, and we could have just walked into the World Showcase.
At six years of age, I'm not sure if they still remember their intro.
But it was important for me that they start their experience by walking up Main Street with the Castle in the background, rather than walking into the back of UK or Paris.

Magic Kingdom - I'm a life-long admirer of kitsch. So the over-the-top theming and hokeyness of Main Street, Liberty Square and Frontierland take me back to wacky Americana moments in my youth. It's all Spirit of '76, mid-century Colonial revival, C.M. Russell, Gaslight Village, Enchanted Forest and Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour rolled into one place. It's bliss.

When I was a kid though, EPCOT in '85 was just the coolest thing.

Magic Kingdom - It brings me back to when I was little with all of the awe, wonder and magic. As my kids get older, it also brings me back to when they were little since there's so much for the little ones - for everyone - to enjoy. It's classic fantasy.

No Epcot, No MGM, No AK.

I first visited the MK in 1979. Same thing - no other parks built yet. There was a preview of E.P.C.O.T. on Main Street. I remember talking to the CM at the preview, and I asked him what happened to Walt's idea of a real city called E.P.C.O.T.? He looked at me all confused, and said that the park is always what E.P.C.O.T. was supposed to be. I didn't argue any more with him, but I knew better.

Magic Kingdom- it has great rides and I love the look of it, especially at night. Every time I walk under the train tracks and into the park, I have a big smile. My hubby and I enjoy being there, even if we're just relaxing with a soda or walking around at night listening to the music.
But....Epcot/WS runs a close second.

I absolutely love Epcot..... but, Animal Kingdom is truly a step above anything that has ever been created as far as an immersive environment. Every step you take in the Animal Kingdom tells a story, even Chester's and Hester's which everyone seems to despise. Sitting at the Dawa Bar enjoying a nice cold beverage as Harambe is filled with music takes me to a whole new world.
