What makes you cry at WDW?

Looking around the near empty parking lot at 8am at Downtown Disney as we check in with Virgin Atlantic.
  • The last sense of warm air
  • Passports out again
  • The last glimpse of Florida's flowers and birds
  • A few English accents
  • The very end of a wonderful time together
  • School next day
  • A last dash to The Raglan Road for our family's last day ritual
  • Wondering if we've got the right school uniform for tomorrow

All the big, dirty busses everywhere.....and thinking what could have been if only they'd have the foresight (and pockets) to have a complete monorail system.

As Disney are looking to get pretty close to getting the parks to the right standard over the next 5 years, you can't help but wonder if this is in the master plan to further increase the distance between WDW and USF?
More a dream than a rumor, but Disney definitely seem to have the stuff around the edges well and truly wrapped up and the Monorail would really emphasize that!

The cost? Those massive revenues brought in by Disney Springs will easily fund that in a few years!

Ah, to dream of a complete Monorail!

Wishes always tends to get me. The Great Movie Ride montage, dated as it is, does too.
This might be a weird place to ask this, but what is this Kiss Goodnight everyone is talking about? I've never heard of it. It's been a while since I've been, so forgive me if that sounds weird. :)

When I think I'm going at a less crowded time of year and I see this.

Those moments when Im walking back from getting a snack and from a distance I see my wife lost in a moment just looking out over Crescent Lake or at the Castle with a child like sense of wonder and soaking it all in. Years ago I only hoped she would tolerate my love for the parks and visit with me, but her love for Disney World has grown so much over the years and when I see her in those moments when the magic has her in its grasp, I know Im one of the luckiest guys in the world.

-Wishes for sure..its always been magical for me, my husband even proposed during them which made them even more magical, but I'v always cried during them even before that :p

-This past trip was my honeymoon, my husband surprised me by booking a week long stay at the contemporary with theme park view (something I had always wanted since I was very little) and as soon as I got in to the room and saw the view I lost it.

-The sign that says "see you real soon" at all the exit, because It means I'm leaving

I don't cry. No, I really don't. Or I haven't in years, privately or publicly. Not since my wedding day. I know, I know, I'm a robot, I'm not human. However............I am very sentimental and can get a lump in my throat and can at least understand the need to cry.

So what makes me sad is taking the ferry back and looking back and seeing the Castle, knowing that's all she wrote for this time. Or seeing the fireworks. Or knowing that my grandfather loved it the only time he came here in 1973 and he apparently really enjoyed the Country Bear Jamboree. A man in his 60s........go figure. There are lots of those "sentimental" moments at Disney.

Seeing Main Street for the first time.
The finale at fantastic.
The finale song at epcots illumination-will go on.
Watching a child get a hug from Mickey.
Seeing how much the cast members put into the show beauty and the beast, they care.
