What magic you put inside?

I am planning the vacation for myself and extended family in March. This Christmas I am giving each family a "care Package". Inside will be our itinerary, matching shirts, mickey heads for the antennas of the cars, customized park maps,... And when the open the package mickey shaped balloons will fly out, just like in the commercials...

What else would you put in a Disney care package?

Good luck with the balloons. Finding those like in the commercials is impossible.

Secondly, after a couple of days being blown up with helium and stuck inside a wrapped gift, they will more likely just sit there inside the box and not fly out as envisioned.

I already have them actually!! I was lucky enough to win one of those big red boxes from the Mickey Moms Club... I had the What Will You Celebrate party but saved 3 balloons to go inside the boxes!!!

Good idea about them deflating...I will probably wait until about an hour before they come over and inflate them then...Fingers crossed it works...

A few things that can go along with, that many forget about, are the essentials for a fun, safe trip. I have done a few of the care packages in the past and everyone has been appreciative of the non-Disney items. What I mean is, we will give a package that may have a Disney tote bag that has sun screen (that personal carry type for each person), hand sanitizer, sun glasses or caps, rain ponchos, and other items. For the kids (and the parents) we give travel games, gift cards so they can buy tokens they want.
You can do all kinds of things with gift cards, if they are traveling by car, you can get them gas gift cards, or food. We give them gift cards to down load music so the kids can listen to things on their MP3 players.
The posibiliteis are endless when you think what would make it easier for them?

I would add a snack. Mickey shaped pretzels or something.
If you are staying on site, I would add a photo or postcard of the hotel.
I think rain ponchos are a great idea.
Be sure and video the opening of the boxes!

I would do a "present" from Mickey. I did that this year and my kids LOVED it! My daughter got a Belle Barbie doll, and my son got a Phineas and Ferb set. I told him Mickey sent them so they could play with them on the plane.

I'm actually creating a Disney "care package" (I call it a goody bag lol) for my daughter! Got a Mickey Mouse carry bag off ebay for a couple bucks...it's pink and awesome! Tons of room! Have been buying stuff for it for several months now...big pens, a couple really cool pins, a Disney princess tin that I'll put a gift card in....a couple DSi games for the ride down...and a couple dvd's for her to watch on the dvd player in the car on the ride down...only have a few more things to go. Triple and Double A batteries of course, disposables (she likes taking her "own" photos even though I have a digital) some gum and snacks! There are so many items to go in the goody bags so have a blast!

PS- most of the items I purchased on ebay for dirt cheap!

That sounds like a really fun surprise, great idea! I made disney packages for the kids in the family before our last trip that consisted of a small duffel bag for each child with a disney character and their name on it, inside was a disney t-shirt and a wdw for kids guide book. The book gave them something to do on the trip and refreshed their mind about all the rides they couldn't miss.

what about something that looks like pixie dust that would kind of fly out when the package was opened? a rain poncho for the park? a small pixie stick to get a little early taste of disney? i like the idea of say a photo of mickey or a princess something like that that says welcome to wdw from mickey or whoever. at our last stay in our room for my granddaughter was a pic of cinderella in front of the castle that said welcome to the magic kingdom and was signed by her.
