What items have you lost at WDW and never recovered?

I lost my first ever magicband in MK one night. Took it off and put it down, bye bye band!

And my temper too, one frustrating day at AK where the crowds were insane thanks to the blasted tour groups back in Feb 2011, I'm ashamed to say.

My right shoe. I took it off at a bench to take a what ever that was poking me out. I had it off trying to get what ever out, and My wife needed me suddenly with our daughter. I left it on the bench went about 20-30 ft away. What ever crisis avoided, went back to the bench, a couple was on the bench and no shoe. I asked the couple if they had seen it, they replied no. Did the weird limp to customer service at MK. There were shoes, but not mine. Funny, moment. The CM asked if I had a photo of the shoe to identify it...I took off my left one and said they can match it to the left one. Yes, que the Cinderella jokes. When they couldn't find it, I got my left one back, and deposited it in the nearest trash receptacle. Bussed back to ASMo, and got my spare pair of shoes. So, Glad I followed the sample packing list I got off one of the Mouse sites. Ok, first time we got to use the park hopper, decided to finish the day in DHS.

Younger one left her new sunglasses on Buzz in MK. They had us stand there and watch a full rotation of all of the cars hoping they'd turn up...we saw several canes and a pair of reading glasses...but no sunglasses. I gave them our info in case they turned up, but I haven't seen them since.

Besides my sanity and $$$$$$$? A really nice personal mister that slipped out of the pocket on the side of my backpack and over the railing in the standby line at Star Tours. I heard it hit the ground with that shattered plastic sound. :(

A wand from CRT. It was in our stroller. "Lost." Luckily, we had 2 more...

TBH, we have been 12 days with a stroller over 2 trips. We have had Yetis, popcorn buckets, diaper bags, plush toys, souvenir purchases, other food/drinks, etc. on the stroller always, and it really kind of amazes me that we have only had the one wand stolen.

Someone stole the Castaway Cay Club member magnet off the back of my car parked at WL during my trip last month. Left the 12 Parsecs magnet, fortunately. And it was one of the old style ones, to boot. Guess they really wanted everyone to know they are Silver...or wannabes.

That happened to me, but at MK waiting for Festival Of Fantasy with a really cheap handheld fan. A wonderful CM wrote me a no strings attached voucher to get a Disney mister fan, I was amazed and very grateful.

$20

So if anyone ever found it, it's mine. So if you found it, Just send me a private message and I'll tell you how to get it to me ;)

I've lost $20's loads of times. So if you see any posts from others saying they've paid me, still send me yours as that'll be from one of the many other times. I'm also not proud so if anyone feels inclined to set up a 'just giving page' for me, I won't object.

Our kid left his autograph book, which included autographs from a previous trip, on Dumbo. We realized it within 5 minutes, raced back...and it was gone. Had all contact info on the front inside cover. Despite daily checks, it never turned up at Lost and Found.

That was a few years back. Of course we got a replacement book, did the drill again with all the contact info, and got back versions of most of what we'd lost. And so, this May, we went to the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's, and went to get the autograph book out. And it was gone. Worst of all, it was my fault. I realized I'd left it on a bench while waiting for our table to be ready. Went to look for it and no sooner had I sat down, I got a call on my cell from the front desk at the Contemporary: It had been turned in to Lost and Found there. So, one happy ending, at least (and despite the rep, I found Chef Mickey's better than usual, especially the salmon dish & cheese options this year). Shout out to the CMs at the Contemporary! And it's worth it to put your contact info in the inside cover.

A few years after that, he also lost his blanket buddy (affectionately called "Bubba") when he threw up in bed at OKW and it was still in the bed when we took off the sheets and housekeeping took them away. It was never recovered despite it being somewhat hard to miss. I ended up finding another one on eBay and bought it, and told him Mickey found it and sent it back. :)

From what i heard, a lot of bleach is used due to soiled sheets from various fluids. Kids blankets end up all turning white so most of them are no longer identifiable.

My wife left a gold necklace and charm in our room at the CR. Moderately expensive, but more sentimental value. We called the CR from the airport to report it, but alas, it was not returned to us.

I ate something in Tomorrowland and my mouth felt funny. One restroom visit later, my tooth fell out down the toilet. I didn’t want to reach in and I flushed...

Brand new Hanna Anderson shorts (aka expensive) that my son wore one time. They must have fallen out of the diaper bag or got thrown away by accident. :( As it turned out a few months later he got poop on the matching shirt which I was unable to clean satisfactorily. So the whole expensive outfit was a bust. :(

I lost my epcot center hat that they sold for the 25th anniversary

Now it is selling online for less than what I paid for it in 2009-not a huge loss!
