What items have you lost at WDW and never recovered?

I lost my first digital camera in DTD. Left it hanging on the back of my chair, returned to the scene moments later and it was gone. We reported it and checked with Lost & Found often, but never got it back. :grumpy:

When it’s ungodly hot out, I sometimes would take my wedding ring off and put in my pocket, and I’d lost it on Maelstrom about 5-6 years ago. We looked in the movie room after, and I’d told my wife to forget it, it’s on the bottom of the ride. We then walked up front and again, I was telling her just to go on w our day, that it’s gone...THEY HAD IT. I’m not even sure how it beat us up to guest relations. They also had my wife’s not cheap prescription sunglasses at MK once too that she lost.

I now turn in anything I find that may be important to someone, trying to pay it forward. I did take an abandoned refillable mug at Saratoga and wash it out in our kitchen, and use it the last few days at the cafeteria.

How did you get a picture of Bob's executive boardroom?

There are quite a lot of pictures of the boardroom on the internet.

I've never lost anything personally, but one time, a friend of mine propped up a pair of Costa sunglasses on top of his head while riding Imagination. Get to the ending, big WHOOOOSH - bye bye sunglasses.

We ate dinner at the Rose & Crown - my wife had 100$ in her back pocket, when she reached in to get a rcpt to show me, we're guessing the cash fell out.

Didn't notice for a few hours, but we went back to ask if anyone found 100$ cash....

imagine this...no one found it! ha!

In 2006 my wife lost her license on Space Mountain , she had it in her lanyard with the card holder hanging on it . This was on our honeymoon sure people were staring when we were standing at the exit with our groom and bride hats on and I was telling you I told you , you should not have had that around your neck that stuff could fly out . Never was found sure it got crushed by the coaster . Btw we laugh about it now and she has never been on Space Mountain since .

My DS managed to lose his sunglasses 3 days running on one trip, and aside from the obvious joke regarding money, and my senses. I lost all respect for most of my in-laws during a grand gathering family trip about 10 years ago.

I've definitely lost some weight with all the walking.

I lost a ball cap on Big Thunder, but was able to retrieve it from lost and found the next day.

My son's favorite hat (a Stitch-themed hat we'd bought at Boxed Lunch, which was not sold anywhere on Disney property), which he accidentally left on the monorail. Somebody must have swiped it, as the Lost and Found would have ended up with it otherwise. Happily, I was able to find him an identical one online after we got back home.

Something Lost: During one of my high school band trips in '96 or '98 my wallet fell out my back pocket, I presume on the monorail between Epcot and Magic Kingdom. About 2 weeks after I got home, the wallet showed up in the mail, missing the cash, travelers checks and a cross necklace I put in it.

Something Found: I came across a cellphone in the MK parking lot at night a few years ago. My first thought was to turn into guest services in the morning when we came back, but after it rang the 2nd time from the same number I answered it. Managed to get it returned to the owner who wasn't too far away in the lot a few minutes later.

My oldest was around 4 yrs old and playing with a Buzz Lightyear car on the ramp of It's A Small World. Went thru the fencing and into the water. We bought him a new one, but he knew exactly where he lost it and would look for it in that spot for years afterwards!

A few years after that, he also lost his blanket buddy (affectionately called "Bubba") when he threw up in bed at OKW and it was still in the bed when we took off the sheets and housekeeping took them away. It was never recovered despite it being somewhat hard to miss. I ended up finding another one on eBay and bought it, and told him Mickey found it and sent it back. :)

My 15 yr old lost a hat on Splash Mountain one year. We obviously never got it back, especially after seeing/smelling the holding tank during a KTTK tour years prior. It was his favorite hat at the time, and ever since then no one has dared wear a hat on Splash.

Two sort of odd things my dad lost his cane in America in world showcase, he had a scooter but stood up to watch a show and left his cane, seemed odd to me no one turned that in since, who wants a cane? That was a hard one to replace to find a cane of any type we had to go to AK. The second is my daughter had a Belle bracelet she loved that fell off he arm while she was standing in line for a small world, luckily I was able to order her another one while we were standing in line.
