Have you ever left any personal items on a WDW ride or in an attraction?
If so, what did you leave & did you ever get it back?

My hubby left his cap in one of the pockets on EE...he went back right away & it was already in the lost & found!

I left my camera in the pocket on BTMR and didnt realize it until we were in Fantasyland.. I almost cried!! My cousin and I ran all the way back to the ride during a parade and went through the exit.. I asked a CM if anyone turned in a camera and sure enough they knew exactly what I was talking about. I was so happy that someone turned it in.. There are still good people out there. :)

Never left anything in the park, but my daughter (at the time aged 7) left her favorite blanket in the bedding of our room at Wilderness Lodge. We didn't realize it was missing until we got home many, many hours later. The following day we called the hotel and they said they would do what they could to find it. We figured it was a lost cause, because this "blanket" was just a rag of its former glory. Well two days later, we got a call from someone in the central laundry. It had been found during the laundering process. As we run a 24 unit Inn, and ship out our sheets to be laundered, I found this amazing. Kudos to the WDW staff, and the effort they put in to "fixing" things that they didn't even break.

My niece left her Pirate Princess Mickey ears somewhere - we still don't know exactly where, we just knew where the last photo was taken with her wearing them.

We backtracked a bit but didn't find them. No luck at lost and found at the park. We had her resigned to the fact that they were gone and she was upset but she's a good kid and didn't make too much of a fuss.

When we got back to our resort the girl at the desk asked my niece how her day was - she was a birthday girl so they all made a fuss over her at the resort. My niece said that her day was pretty good but she lost her mickey ears...the CM asked which ears she had and said she would see if they turned up anywhere.

The next day we got a call from the desk and said there was a delivery and would we like to pick it up or have it delieverd to our room. We were just leaving so we went to the desk and one of the CM's (not the one from the night before) said that her Mickey ears had been found! They were the Pirate Princess ones except these ones had my niece's name stitched onto the back - something we didn't have on the original pair.

To this day she thinks someone "found" them, had her name sewn on and delivered them to our hotel

Not exactly a lost and found story - more of a lost and replaced - but a good story nonetheless

Not an attraction, but accommodations, We got transferred from CBR to Gf, all 4 of my kids and my wife had everything, except me, the one who packed it all for the others. My pair of tennis shoes. The only thing that made me able to walk through the parks. Not my flip flops, cause i'm a goofy walker, but my tennis shoes. When I realized the next morning I was missing them, I called the GF front desk and let them know. So for one full day I wore my wife's tennis shoes, that night, mine were delivered back to me. Thank you to whoever found them and for all resort magic to getting them back to me.

Left some nice sunglasses on BTMRR, realized it 60 seconds after walking out so went back into the exit and talked to 3 different CMs who unfortunately were useless in assisting me because I sat there for 15 minutes and not one came back to me and let me know anything. So I did not get them back but life goes on, my fault for leaving them.

My dad lost his favorite pair of sunglasses on Body Wars years and years ago. And I left an ipod in my room at POR. I realized this hours later and went back to the front desk before leaving. Nothing. A few days later they call, the housekeeping staff had found it and turned it in  Needless to say I was amazed and felt kind of bad for thinking they're all dishonest. It was shipped to me a few days later.

Not in the park, but in CBR, and it was a horrible experience. I realized an hour after we left the hotel that we left half of our computer charger plugged into the wall of our room. I called an HOUR later and told them exact location, 6 hrs. later got a call back, and was told somebody was already on our room an hour after we left, they had a 'do not disturb' sign up, and not only that, but they gave directions to the staff not to clean their room, so I had to wait a week and a half til they were gone and call back. I found this all unbelievable, as we checked out at 9 am, and check-in isn't usually til 3. A week later, I called and asked again, asked to speak to the Hotel Manager, and of course by that time my $80 cord was nowhere to be found. Needless to say, my exp. w/ WDW lost and found left much to be desired.

I have worked in the hotel business and a room can easily be turned in less than an hour, especially if there are early check ins arriving. Also, sounds like your issue should be with the people in the room not WDW - my guess is they have your cord.

Back on a trip in 2003, we had a group of 11 of us. One of the members of the group (could have been me, I can't remember) lost one of our walkie talkies on a ride. We ended up checking with lost and found (which at the time was near the Kennel near MK). After three days, we were able to find the Wak.Tak. there. We were all very surprised!

My dad lost a cell phone on Tower of Terror. This was back in 1999. He hadn't been in 5 years, so the ride hadn't opened when he last went. I had gone and went on it. I didn't want to say anything about what it was or he might not ride. My mother definitely would not have gone on it. Well he had his phone in his shirt pocket and I had no idea. On one of those drops it must have gone flying and God knows where it went.

I left my camera on a Disney bus on the last day of our trip. I didn't realize it until several hours later. I called Disney after we got home the next day and left my information with Lost and Found. I honestly didn't think we would ever see the camera ever again. About two weeks later I was surprised to find a package from WDW! My camera had been found and sent to me. I am very thankful for the honesty of the person who found my camera and the bus driver who then turned it in to Lost and Found.

My youngest son lost his favorite stuffed animal when he was 4 somewhere in Epcot. We searched for it for several days, including trips to the main lost and found at TTC. It was very sad for him since he had this since birth.:(

It may be the case, but there was a lot I left out of the story due to lack of time this AM that still didn't make it a 'magical' experience on Disneys part. I don't doubt for a second that the people in the room could have taken it, but I also don't doubt for a second that it was either never looked for in the first place, or something else other than that. I love Disney, but I do get a little frustrated on these boards sometimes when people refuse to say WDW could do anything but be magical.

I have worked in Customer Service for many many years as well, and I know unfortunately at times not all is done to best service the customer, regardless of where you are. It won't stop me from going back to WDW a million more times though! =)

This is a GREAT story! Things like this are why I love WDW so much!

The only thing I ever lost was a hidden mickey book. DH had it in his back pocket on Buzz Lightyear. Some time later we realized it was gone, and we had to backtrack through the last few places we had been. It was our worn in copy of the book, that we had made tons of notes in, and scribbled down mickey's we'd found that weren't listed. I was bummed. When we got to Buzz Lightyear, they ended up having it! I guess another guest found it & handed it in. Nice of them, since it would have been an easy & interesting thing to take.

True - without knowing the whole story it's hard to say if the CM's you spoke with acted appropriately. I just thought that you figured they couldn't get a room ready in under an hour and trust me...I've helped out housekeeping on busy days to get rooms ready and those ladies can MOVE!

Let me say, I have had nothing but the BEST experience with WDW lost and found...one time I left a hat in a restaurant that I was sure was gone...was able to retrieve it before we left the world. And another time someone in our party left a DISPOSABLE camera on BTMRR...we called back as soon as we got home and informed them figuring it was a long shot...the camera arrived within 2 weeks in the mail...incredible!! Enabling that young person to relive all the memories after developing the film.

THAT is part of the reason why I love Disney...It's the little things.
