Thanks Tammy and Crush! I am not packing yet but I am a list person. my list is already over 100 lines on a spread sheet. LOL. Not just weird stuff like the over the door shoe organizer though. I know it would be my luck that I would forget my PJ's or something like that. :ROFLOL:

bring cash!!!!!!!!!!!! and if you think you have enough, bring more!!!!!!! just don't forget it when you leave the ship, or make sure you bring plenty when you leave the ship. (well at least in nassau anyway).
but you will want it for tipping, especially room service.

i might be in the minority here, but the over the door shoe thing and lots of other stuff, i wouldn't worry about. we had 3 in our room, and we had plenty of room for everything. this was on the dream, so not sure about the other ships.

and don't forget your key card placed into the slot (inside your door) turns the light and tv on! just remember that you placed your key card into that slot, don't think you lost it already.

bring a light sweater or jacket thingie to dinners, especially if you are prone to getting cold. you don't want to be sporting a tablecloth at dinner! :lookaroun

Yeah, my brother swears I forget stuff on purpose just to buy new. He's full of it. I'm glad my old man realizes I take no joy in buying new Spanx or bras because I forgot them.

I'll hafta review the linked list to see if I think if anything else.

I second the cash part, especially $1's. About 6 weeks before our last cruise I started a collection envelope for $1's in my nightstand. Whenever i had any in my wallet I'd stash them in the envelope.

We didn't bring an over door shoe hanger either, had the 4 of us in a 300 sq ft room, and did fine. No problem.

I bought matching PJ's for my wife and boxers for me on our last cruise. Silly and fun. :)

Awwwww....that's sweet!

Why don't you just add the tip to the room service receipt? Do they not have you sign for the room service anymore?

I brought the stack of $1s so we could also tip like the luggage guys at the port curb. We showed the boys where the envelope was in the safe so if they ordered anything while we were away from the room they could do their own tipping, too. :)

i am not sure about the tipping being added to your bill. i think it can be done, tammy will know for sure.
but you will want the singles for room service, porters, anyone that you want to tip as you go.
i did not want to take cc's onto nassau, and since we took excursions, i also thought the prices included everything. they don't necessarily. so we did not have enough cash for any souvenirs or food and drinks.
you'd be amazed when you don't have cash when you will need it or want it. anyway, that is the one major warning i have.

Matching PJs and boxers! Excellent!

You can add the tip on to the room service bill. We keep an envelopes of 1's in our room though. It's easy to tip with and the kids can tip when we're not there.

You will need cash when you go ashore a lot of the time, that's true.

Thanks everyone for helping to satisfy my OCD:lol::lookaroun I know I am bad. I just like to be prepared.
Next on the agenda, picking food to eat on the cruise and what hotel to stay at when we get off the ship.

Got another question!
Anyone know how much parking is at port? I know in NOLA its 12-14 per night. Just wondering what it is there.

It was $15/night when we were there in September but I think I read that it went up since. It wasn't so bad for the short 3-day cruise but I highly doubt we'll park our car at the port for the 7-day we have in September. Can you imagine? $105+ just to park the stinkin' car?

Yeah that would totally suck. I am just thinking about our girls cruise. Not sure yet if Jesemeca is leaving her car there or if a friend of hers is going to bring us and pick us up?

Thank you so much for your speedy responses. I just love staying at home with my kids as I am sure you do as well.

not sure where you are spending the night prior to, but lots of the hotels have the parking lots for cruisers. the hotel we stayed at we had one. we just took the shuttle from hotel to ship.

I will tell you that we were mortified the first night to find that our hostess had tidied up the entire room, not just normal turn down and things of that nature, DH was very embarassed to find the boxershe had been wearing hanging on one of the hooks  We now take a pop up laundry basket to keep dirty laundry together neatly
