What is your vision of Disney Theme park future?

I want to hear what your visions of the Disney future are.

What attractions will close? What will be moved? What will be redone? What do you think will disappear? What will open?

The future can be anywhere from tommorrow to twenty to 90 years down the road.

The rules are...there are no rules. I pulled all of these out of my...hat.

My thoughts are:
The Magic Kingdom: a new land or semi land will appear, mayb along in frontierland or fantasyland. The 20,000 Leagues lagoon will finally have a new attraction to call home to. Toontown fair will either be expanded or rethemed YET AGAIN.
There will be a rehab of the Tommorrowland Autopia, or a threat to have it torn down.
Some sort of big change will take place in Alien Encounter (and I'm not talking about Stitch)
The Carousel of Progress will close..more sooner than later.
The Timekeeper will be replaced by either another circlevision attraction or something new entirely.

Adventureland will recieve a major new E-ticket.

Disney MGM Studios: A name change will take place, and possibly the Great Movie Ride will have a big change to it.

A Stitch/Elvis show will open for a little while, much like the old school concerts that were performed in the 1990s, late 1980s by Disney Characters.

The Honey I shrunk the Kids movie playset will eventually be closed and/or replaced.

Beauty and the Beast stage show maybe replaced by an Aladdin show or be the theater will be bulldozed for an entire new attraction.

The left section of the park, with Indiana Jones and the former superstar television, will get a much needed "Shot in the arm" in the form of a large, D or E-ticket attraction.

Some sort of attraction that never came off the drawing board in the early days of the studios will resurface in a new form with a new theme.

Epcot: New Pavilions will be proposed, but many left on the drawing board because of sponsorship problems.

People will start to wonder what the heck that "pavilion" is between Canada and the U.K., but will laugh at anything mentioned about a "Millenium" pavillion (sometime in 2045)

China or Japan may recieve a small attraction.

The Odyssey restaurant will be utilized for some sort of attraction, shop, or new showplace.

Innoventions will close and be rehabbed for something else entirely in a period of economic hardship when companies begin to pull exhibits.

The Land will recieve something new.

Living Seas will be rehabbed.

A couple new effects will be added to Test Track.

Epcot will open a small gallery devoted to older attractions, with models of "world of motion" and Horizons on display.

Animal Kingdom-

A new land will break ground.

Africa will recieve a new small attraction.

The Boneyard will recieve a small upgrade, but Dino-Rama will unfortunately remain.

Disney will test going back to "Countdown to Extinction", and if tests go well a full conversion to its former glory will come about. (or a guy can dream, can he?)

Someone will get hurt on Kali River Rapids.

A dragon will finally make its appearance at AK, in some form or another.

Mcdonalds will move into another restaurant.

Any one of those changes you have described above could do one of two things: plunge Disney into Heck, or rocket Disney into Heaven... I agree with some, and disagree with others. But I've got to go now, so I can't explain myself! :D

Disney needs to stay at the forefront of using new technology to entertain -- like audioanimatronics did 40 years ago. Whether that means updating old attractions or creating new ones.

Disney needs to bring us what we're not expecting -- the inconceivable. The amazing. So we can still believe in magic.

Disney needs to keep touching our hearts and it needs to stay relevant for each new generation.

I would like to see attractions that are different every time you see them. I would like to see more attention paid to soundtracks. How about a ride on a hovercraft or magnetically levitated vehicle?

What about a Mary Poppins attraction? Isn't it about time!!!? All my kids love that movie even 40 years after it was first released.

I really wasn't looking for philosophical outlooks..just random intuitions of stuff that could happen. Just play along!

hmmm this could be fun!!!

MK - I say some major closures and refurbs, first of all close Timekeeper and carosel of progress for ever! Redo Jungle cruise Pirates of the Caribbean to make them more fun.

Epcot - BRING BACK THE TAPESTRY OF DREAMS! Close SE, close Wonders of Life, close Universe of Energy, replace them all with sadly education rides, add more rides to the countries, close the American adventure, it makes :snore: add more to innoventions, add an underwater coaster at the Living Seas.

MGM - Add new E-ticket at the old theter, close the great movie ride(it sucks)

AK - add the forbidden mountain, everything else there is perfect!
