To date I have to say The Contemporary. After the refurbishment the rooms were fresh, modern and comfortable with the best bathrooms.
My favorite lobby smell however is the Polynesian.
We are shooting for the Grand Floridian next trip so this may or may not change.

Wilderness Lodge probably, its hard to say because I have loved so many. but WL is just love for me. Love the theme and all and if its just the right angle I have sat on the balcony and watched fireworks...it was just amazing.
Though I have to say, I enjoyed AKL far more than I ever thought I would.

I always jump in & vote for Coronado Springs any chance I get, as its me & my wife's favorite resort hands down.
The Pepper Market is awesome, so many different types of food all in one place. The Maya Grill never disappoints either! If you're a runner/jogger the lake itself is about 1 mi around, great for an early morning run. The main pool complex is awesome & has a huge hot tub. The quiet pools are nice & centrally located to each of the 3 housing areas (The Casitas, the Cabanas & the Ranchos.) There's a clean laundry facility and a gym. The rooms were all refurbished last year too. You can also just chill & have drinks along the waters edge at the Laguna Bar. Unlike some of the other resorts that only have 1 bus stop, Coronado Springs has 4, and the busses are dedicated to just that resort, so you don't spend extra time stopping at other resorts.. I've also read that there are regular 'shuttles' in the form of golf carts you can wave down for a lift around the resort, but I have yet to confirm this. We always try to stay in the Casitas section, which is closest to the main building.
My wife likes the fact that it isn't laden with screaming kids & the theming is not as 'in your face' as some of the other resorts too. As a matter of fact we'll be checking into the Coronado Springs in 30 days!

Among moderates, Port Orleans French Quarter. It's the quietest resort we've stayed at on property. Love taking the boat to Downtown Disney. It's smaller than the other resorts, so it's never that crowded or crazy. Like the look of it, the tasty beignets, plus its close enough to Riverside to walk over, if you want to check that out.
Among deluxe resorts, definitely Wilderness Lodge. Amazing looking place, all around. Love that lobby. Love the decor. Love the various dining options there. I would stay here every trip, if I could, but I can't always afford to go deluxe.
I also enjoyed Pop Century the one time we stayed there, if you're going value. Yes, the rooms are tiny, and it can be noisy (especially if you're close to a pool), but I thought the lobby was great, the food court was surprisingly good the few times we ate there, and there were a lot of neat things to see and do.

Grand Floridian....
No contest for me, hands down it's the Grand Floridian. It's just a beautiful, beautiful property inside and out. It also has sentimental value since I was married and honeymooned there. I have enjoyed all the hotels we've stayed in though but the GF is my favorite by far.

Grand Floridian is an interesting case. Contemporary too, come to think of it. I've found that, for each one, people usually either love them or hate them. I've never stayed in either, but in my personal opinion, I feel like the Grand Floridian has an air of snobbery about it and the Contemporary seems too sterile. I realize that these feelings are manifestations of the fact that the resorts execute their theming to perfection, but they're just not for me.

Contemporary, Animal Kingdom Lodge
The Contemporary holds a special place in my heart because I stayed there right after it opened. I'd also stayed at the Polynesian, but it did not impress me as much at the time (as a kid), most likely because I'd just spent time in Tahiti, so it was not as special for me.
Having the Monorail run right through the hotel did it for me as a kid, and I still love that feature as an adult. Throw in proximity to MK, the super access to EPCOT, the California Grill being right there (still one of the best IMO) and its still a favorite. I also love the latest 'version' of the rooms - as I tend to prefer modern and, well, contemporary design.
I absolutely love the Animal Kingdom Lodge too. Having Jiko and Boma right there are great, and the atmosphere, beauty of the lobby, great background music, and access to the night vision for viewing the animals, and its a winner. I've been to South Africa and Zimbabwe for real safaris, and I'd rather skip the malaria medication & high-risk travel and go back to Animal Kingdom Lodge.
I've spent time at Grand Floridian, and some of it is 'pretty', but I just don't feel the Disney 'Magic' there (unless I'm in Victoria & Albert's
) I do still go back there for V&A's and Citrico's though ...

I'd recommend CSR! Besides having a great main pool area, CSR also offers many deluxe amenities at a mod price.
CSR has queen beds while the other mods have doubles like the values. The rooms have been recently renovated and are gorgeous.
CSR has a fitness center, spa, tanning beds, a sauna, salon, full menu room service and a night club.
CSR has a sliding wooden door separating the sink area from the room instead of a privacy curtain like the other mods.
CSR has the same toiletries as the deluxes (except GF). CSR has separate shampoo and conditioner instead of the shampoo/conditioner combo at the other mods and values (a small thing, I know, but it means I don't have to pack shampoo and conditioner).
CSR has the largest hot tub of the mods and one of the longest pool slides on Disney property. The pool, slide and playground area is great.

I'm going to have to throw my vote with Yacht Club..although the Boardwalk was a close second. I love being able to walk to Epcot and stroll through WS w/o hordes of people..my favorite time to take photos..we always go super early so we have lots of time to get to the rope drop area on time. I love the quietness of the lobby, the short walk to Beaches and Cream, the comfy beds and full size balcony (esp. love the balcony area at Boardwalk). Now I haven't experienced Poly or Cont. those are the next two on our girls list. Oh and did I say we absolutely loved the pools...the quiet pools and hot tubs, and of course Stormalong Bay was a big hit.
