My favorite WDW resort is a tie between GF and WL. Just because both of the lobbies are breathtaking.

What is your favorite WDW resort and why?

With a preface that we have never stayed at a deluxe resort, our fave by far is Port Orleans Riverside. Our first stay there was way back in the Dixie Landings days and is still our favorite when not looking for a "value" trip to Disney.

I love them all so it's a hard choice, but I loved the Poly, being on the monorail loop is the best, especially with little ones in a stroller. I love POFQ. That's our first pick based on price. And then this past December I stayed at the cabins at Fort Wilderness and I fell in love with them. The only downside to Ft Wilderness is if we didn't have a golf cart and had to wait on the internal buses all the time, I dont think i'd have liked it as much, but renting the golf cart adds alot of money to your trip.
Now those are my choices based on where I have stayed, which have been: Contemp, Poly, POFQ, AKL, Ft Wilderness Cabins, CBR, CSR, ASMusic, ASMovies, Pop, Dolphin. I'd have to say the beach club would probably be one of my fav's if I ever stayed there.

Ours is WL. We just love the look and layout of the resort. The pool area is great, it really makes us feel like with are out west and not in Florida. But the boat ride to the MK is our favorite part. It is so relaxing especially at night when the sun goes down. Can also be romantic as well.

We stayed at all the Deluxes except AKL, as well as some moderate,
Absolute favorite is the Boardwalk - Theming; Location; Pool; Acitivities; Food, it has it all - being DVC we have stayed here numerous times
Second would have to be Bay Lake Tower / Contemporary - Rooms phenomenal; its got location; monorail; pool great food - stayed here this past january and loved it
Our third Fav would have to be Wilderness Lodge - not only the theming and location but its very laidback and quiet, a nice break!

For us when we have the extra money it's the Wildernest Lodge hands Down. Are next favorites in order are as follows:
1) Dixie Landings Just love the looks and feel of this resort. Love staying in the mansion section
2) Carribean Beach
3) All Star Movies
4) Coranado Resort is way to big and makes you feel at wotjh with all the conventions that goes on.

5. Contemporary (have not stayed, so just an assupmtion)
6. Polynesian (have not stayed, so just an assupmtion)

I didn't distinguish between the All-Stars. They just aren't unique enough for me.

WL is my favorite, I love the cabiny feel and the fire place and watching the water parade from the balcony. Walking around in the lobby late at night is peaceful, I love the running water sounds.
Next I guess would be Pop. Even though last time I was there I had issues with a lot of the staff (everyone I talked to seemed to have no idea what they were talking about, and I was a completely online student at the time, and the internet wouldn't work in my room for the first two days). But other than those issues, after the first two days everything went much better. It might be because I met the bartender Jonny also, and he is beautiful. Hah!!
Next I guess would be Pop. Any resort onsite is great. POP was good< then CBR<now poly. Each has its own unique experience consumerate with $$$$. I absolutely love Poly, but for overall value, CBR.
