Hello everyone,
What is your favorite memory at wdw?
My is when I was a freshmen in High school, our marching band marched in the parade. It was right before Spectromagic. It is very long for people that haven't done it before. But us going behind the scenes of MK and warming up(it wasn't like it was hot that day). Then seeing the floats and all the CM out of character. But it was fun.

I have lots of special memories but nothing beats for me the very first time i came to Magic Kingdom and used the Ferry to get across to that magical place and coming around the corner you see cinderella's castle for the first time - tears came to my eyes
The first time I also saw fantasmic was quite memorable too, I love that show and again had a little tear in my eye:animwink:

Although I've been going to Walt Disney World now for 21 years,my favorite memory is recent. The first time my neice and nephew went. My neice was quite young...only 3 months...but I remember my nephew being so excited to see Tigger. Also, this past December on the cruise, he couldn't believe Stitch was standing in front of him...he even let him take the nuk away from him, not just anyone can do that. HeHe

We usually go every year and this past time we convinced my mom who is 59 to go with us. She had never been before and the first evening we stood in front of the castle and watched the fireworks and I looked at her and she had tears in her eyes. This was also the first trip for my 2 year old and every time she would see one of the characters, especially during a parade, she would just scream and dance and be so excited. This was absolutely the most memorable vacation so far. Looking forward to many more!!! :) :sohappy:

I have good memories from every visit, naturally, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be the honeymoon trip in 2003. Primarily, of course, because it was our honeymoon, but also because it was my first big trip for quite a while. Some friends and I went down in 2000, but only had two full days, of which one was at the beach and one at Magic Kingdom. But it was my first time ever to Animal Kingdom and MGM, and my second time at EPCOT. And I remembered EPCOT as a boring, sucky place, since I was remembering it as an 11 year old, and was pleasantly surprised to find that I really enjoyed it this time around. And it was my wife's first time ever to Florida, so I enjoyed taking her on all these first time experiences.

We first took my daughter to WDW at 18 months old. She kept calling (or shall I say screaming for) Belle over to her at MNSSHP. All you heard was "Belle? Belle?" as if she had knew her personally all her life. Belle had to come pick her up and hold her. My daughter, Bailey, turned around to me and her daddy saying "bye, mommy and daddy" then started hugging on Belle harder. To this day, she loves Belle so much. I loved that moment and the moment she saw Mickey for the first time and just hugged all over him. Of course, she tried to ditch me and her daddy again to stay with him.

The one memory that is burned into my mind forever is seeing the castle for the very first time. I'll never forget what that felt like!
Also, my dh was picked to do the flag retreat in the MK. It was shortly after 911 and was a very emotional time for everyone. That will be always be special.

So many memories yet one stands out in particular:
When my then 2 1/2 year old daughter (who had been watching Disney movies since birth!) saw the princesses for the first time in the parade. I'll never forget the look on her which seemed to say "They're real!"

I would have to say being in Disney for the turn of the Millenium. It started like 3 years prior to that when we were having a New Year's Eve party with family and my dad said it would be cool to go there for the turn of the millenium. That comment turned into a trip with my family, and the families of 2 uncles (12 people total) at POR (Dixie Landings at that time). There was nothing like being inside the MK to celebrate the new year.

I've posted it before, but it's an awesome memory... (to me at least)

Last April was the first time my fam' and I had been to the 'World in literally about ten years. The first night we got there pretty late, because of hassles at the airport.

However, we (especially me) were pumped to find out that Magic Kingdom had some wicked extended magic hours (it was open until like 1 or 2 am) so while the folks set up stuff at the hotel, I drag little bro and hightail it to MK.

We run around like maniacs at MK hitting some sweet rides, and I was going bananas inside, becuase, I hadn't been here since I was 12, and for little bro, it was like his first time (since his real first time he was too little to remember/do anything cool).

So we hit up Splash Mountain. We truck through it, we go down the mini-drops and just kind of are bowled over by how cool the ride is and how cool it is to be in WDW.

Then, we come up to that final drop. Our log rests at the top, and we are treated to a spectacular night-time view of MK, complete with big beautiful fireworks exploding in mid-air in front of us. Then we plummet.

Just awesome.

I think it's tied for when I got to be an extra in the Indy stunt show on that same trip. Awesome trip :).

My favorite memory is from 1987 walking through the gates of EPCOT Center with my mom, sister, and grandparents. I had been waiting for years to go, and on my ninth birthday they took me there. I'll never forget that trip.
