What is your favorite memory from this board?

I remember a thread about people drinking at EPCOT, or rather people getting drunk at EPCOT - I remember laughing about how ferocious people got and insulting - drinkers vs. non-drinkers. Talk about a touchy subject! Too funny.....

I loved the last few months before E:E opened. People kept thinking that the yeti was right before the big drop and that we could maybe see him in a pic or two someone took.:)

One of my favorite memories was the build-up for the opening of Test track. I loved the photos of the work in progress.
Also the wand de-construction.

Not saying it's good or bad... just memorable :ROFLOL:

YES. I just see that name and :ROFLOL:all over again!

Epcot's 25th without question was the best thing to happen on these boards. Never in my life have I had the pleasure of being around so many great people that "got it" That day will forever live in my memory as one of the best days of my life.

YES. Feeling like part of something big.

Also moments of hilarity - the HOLY CARP! post about the bus fire. That made HOLY CARP part of my daily vocabulary.

All the anticipation surrounding Wand Removal. We were going to start a Wand Removal Committee and get volunteers to get the darned thing down by Celebration 25. It was A MUST. :king:

The Mickey's Philharmagic peeing incident......

Meeting people from this site in person and absolutely loving them!

I gotta say, I loved the incidents surrounding Mousermerf. I just couldn't believe how worked up some people got because of somebody else. And I'll admit I was on his side occasionally, even though I disagreed with some of his opinions and actions. I must say, though, its been a lot quieter around here since he...well, I think we all know what happend. :)

That being said, I too enjoyed the thread where we had to guess where the poster was standing. Great fun! Oh, and SanFrancisco, I'm guessing Columbia Harbor House.

Hey, what did happen to Mousermerf?
Haven't seen him lately at all.
Did he self destruct or something?

Tks.
:)

General Grizz's save the balloons campaign, the establishment of the MerfCove and the large planning for Celebration25 are some of my favorites.
I remeber that...I know he could be a @$$ but there was never a dull moment without him.

HAHA...I loved that.

I also loved the SSE opening era.The debates we had then were some of the most passionate fun threads ever! The Wand had a few of these too..And C25 takes the cake...Even though I experienced it online,it was still fun.Reading about EPCOT on it's 25th was defiantly great.

Some of my favorite memories, like another poster on here...aren't necessarily related to specific threads, but rather the people from chit chat boards...

I have gained some lifelong friends from the Chit Chat boards and one particular thread...the Magic Friends threads. The people are people that I call my family. They are some of the most amazing people in this world and I have been honored to meet some of them in person, not once, but twice and have amazing experiences that I will never forget. (And of course, I've also been able to hang out with a couple other frequent posters in WDW b/c of these boards too...specifically a Mermaid that most of us all know and love)

It's because of this site that I have found such amazing, lifelong friendships. And I can't thank Steve (and all the other mods) enough for everything they do to give me a place to go that I can call home.

Mine, like Nibbs, would have to be about the people here. I've met, both in person and online, some of the best people. Thanks to all who have made these boards what they are today.

And personally, my favorite specific memory would have to be checking in on them while in labor.

No, I'm not obsessed or anything. :lookaroun

I haven't been around here too long but I must say my favorite had to have been Epcot's 25th. I loved all the pictures and reports and it made me feel like my obsession for Disney isn't all that silly. It gave me goosebumps and made me a little teary watching some of the videos. We have such great people on these boards that report even the tinest detail to those of us who can only be there once every few years.

I am so glad I found this site back in '03. It helps me relax and unwind and I get anxiety attacks if I don't visit at least 3 times a day

One of my favorite threads was a particular one about the offensive nature of Country Bear Jamboree from about two years ago. Sadly it was deleted.

My greatest memory of wdwmagic has to be the Wand coming down and the rising of Everest. We have all had ups and downs, agreements and disagreements on this web site but it's all in the love of Disney World. Before I found wdwmagic I thought that I was the only Disney geek in the world, but it's good to know their are thousand's of Disney World fans just like me. I didn't get a chance to meet everyone at Epcot's 25th but maybe we will have another meet up soon. I hope we all have many more years of fun at wdwmagic.

Wow, so many come to mind. I guess my favorite was the birth of Bunny's baby (while Dot freaked out about chicken!).
I was so impressed with the whole development of the Epcot 25th celebration - wish I could have been there.
The thread about our favorite Disney moments still makes me cry.
So does the SW2K thread!
Gary's trip reports are priceless!
The "altercation" thread was a classic!
And who could forget Wafflefest!

Most of all, the friends I've made and met through WDW Magic are such a precious gift. Thank you Steve for making this all possible!

I remember when I first joined (I rarely post) that everyone seemed to have a crush on Maria (I think that was her name)

What happened to her?

Flower & Garden Festival Altercation

Following the Altercation at the Flower & Garden Festival thread after having just attended and seen that booth and the couple who ran it was absolutely classic. Then, the groundswell of support for the OP, by way of the 'attack of the photographers' was fantastic.

The daily wand removal photos were great.

The thing I probably appreciate most on an ongoing basis is the shared love of the parks from both perspectives - 'outsiders' like me, who have loved WDW (in my case, since I was a kid) but who have only gone as guests, and the insight we get from past and present cast members.

Thanks WDW Magic :sohappy:
