What is your Disney routine?

My routine for driving south includes a stop at the Florida welcome center to get an updated pic of my boys! From there we stop at DTD for new ears (somebody always needs new ones) From there we check in and do nothing but rest up for the next day because we are commandos for the next 11 or 12 days! Our must do dining includes Les Chefs for lunch with Remy and Crystal Palace for a late lunch with Pooh!:)

Five trips..Routine as follows..Overnight stay at Glasgow airport hotel..Early flight with a bottle of champagne ( $40 ) Arrival at Sanford and coach transfers ( drove in Los Angeles once, that was enough ) Book into PORS...Get mugs and taste that taste of Disney. ( Root Beer ) First day ( or night I should say ) Hit MK to see if that castle was real or was it just a dream. ( it's real Whoo Hoo ) Haunted Mansion,Pirates,Buzz, etc,Casey's for dogs & Wishes..Early night due to being up for 32 hours..Back to PORS but collect Magic Cookie Bar for midnight snack..Goodnight everyone! See ya all tomorrow, because tomorrow's more than just another day..;) It's a great big beautiful tomorrow..:P

Up with the sun, swim. Come back to room, wake up other people. Shower, wake up other people again, this time pulling off covers, singing wake-up songs, giving kisses and hugs until they start yelling at me and I know they're really up. Encourage everyone to hurry up because we are behind schedule (sadly, this is part of the routine.)

Make breakfast, tell my sister that she can't have a cigarette because she slept her cigarette time away and she will have to smoke in the car. Then shuffle everyone out to the car, attempting to make a rope drop, which we will likely miss because they are sleepy-head slow-pokes.

That's a typical morning.

Not sure what you were looking for, though.

If we ever have some down time while at WDW (which is never!) I try to check out things like the Walt experience at HS, take the boat ride from POR to DTD and converse with the older cast members as they seem more interested than the younger cast members, check out the different shops and the things you go right past on a busy day of riding attractions

If you are not in the parks from opening to close, you way want to consider touring the other resorts. We were not on grounds our last trip and decided to visit AoA to see the resort.. We had a nice quite stroll around the grounds, checked out the food court and sat on a bench overlooking Hourglass Lake for a bit. It was quite beautiful with all the lights after sundown.

That's a good idea. We don't really like to spend the entire day at the parks, so we usually head back to our resort around like 2 or 3 pm. Then we're pretty much lost as what to do for the majority of the day. We usually do DTD last to avoid the overload crowd at World of Disney store. Which are some nice resorts to have a look at? We usually stay on Universal property, but don't mind traveling about.

Our trips do generally tend to go the same way each time: arrive, check-in, hit MK for at least Space Mountain and Buzz (and usually TTA too) and a quick-service lunch at Cosmic Ray's. We may do a few more rides, if we have time, and then head back to the hotel and go to bed. Where we go each day usually depends on what meal reservations we have. If it's lunch somewhere, we'll go to that park, if it's dinner, we'll park hop during the day and then end up in that park where we have the reservation. It goes like that throughout the trip. Of course, on the day we start at DHS, we have to get there super early if we even hope to get a FP for Toy Story Midway Mania. Usually by the second or third day we've already hopped between all four parks, so then we work on repeating some of our favorite stuff.

8 trips under our belt and we are definitely creatures of habit by this point! But tradition is one of the things that is great about returning to Walt Disney World! Here is our routine:

Up at 3am on Cape Cod to catch an early flight out of Boston. Hear the captain tell us the current temperature in Orlando before landing which gets us excited. Get our bags and rental car and exit the airport doors to take in that first breath of warm Florida air! Drive to our hotel with the windows down and just exploding with excitement and energy. Day one consists of checking in, unpacking, going out for lunch in downtown Orlando (International Drive usually), grocery shopping, turn on the WDW promo on our TV, and hit Downtown Disney the first night for dinner and shopping.

Day one is always Magic Kingdom and throughout our trip we usually do Magic Kingdom 2 full days and 2 half days, Epcot 2 full days 1 half day, Hollywood Studios 1 full day and 1 half day, Animal Kingdom 1 full day. Or something like that. We also take 2 full days off in between somewhere and just sit by the pool, take a walk or drive, and have a total relaxed pace, since the other 8 days are open to close full throttle park days! We also sometimes replace a day and try to experience something non-Disney such as Universal, SeaWorld, Gatorland, Busch Gardens....etc.

We also have taken the monorail to visit and explore the resorts around Bay Lake, but we would love to go explore the other resorts too. We actually have never been to the Boardwalk surprisingly. It's been on our to-do list for years but we just haven't gotten there.

I would give anything to be there right now!

Hey everyone! So we all I'm sure have been to Walt Disney World more than once I'm assuming. So I'm wondering what is your routine for every time you visit. I'm kinda wondering what other gaps I can fill in to do at WDW that I haven't yet done before!

Well when we arrive we stay offsite all the time (after all we spend most of our time in the parks than the hotel anyways). Then we usually go to MK first and work our way from the left side all the way to the right side with exceptions for getting fastpasses (which will probably change with the new system) and we do the same for the rest of the parks... That's just about it. :P

My family and I depart from Syracuse, NY. We get to Orlando claim our luggage and then go get the rental car. After that, we go to WalMart on Turkey Lake Road to stock up on snacks and other goodies. Our first full day, we hit Magic Kingdom for a while, then go back to our hotel and rest. Then we either go back to MK or go somewhere else. The last 3 times I've gone, we've gone to Animal Kingdom on day two of our parks expedition. After that, it's not much of a routine. However, squeezing in time for Downtown Disney's a must. At some point, we also hit Olive Garden on Palm Parkway and make a repeat trip to WalMart.

About two years ago we had twins, so EVERYTHING changed...

But before then, our routine was afternoon flight down arrival around 4pm. Check in to hotel then head straight to EPCOT, usually for F&W and do some tasting. Then early to bed and MK in the morning, usually Kouzzina for breakfast. Also, at some point during the trip we would hop the monorail to visit some of the other resorts, usually grab a drink or two. :)

Let's see. It has to start with earliest booking we can get out of Minneapolis-St. Paul airport which is usually a 5:45am-6am departure which usually puts us at MCO at a little after 9 am. Magical Express is a must, did the rental car once and it just wasn't the same. If we're able to book the earliest flight then the first day is usually Magic Kingdom. However, if we arrive later, we usually will check in and then hit Downtown Disney the first day...odd, yes, but we can relax, grab some dinner and ease our way into the vacation. Then get up early the next morning completely refreshed for rope drop.
As far as touring the park routines. Assuming its an 8 day trip it usually goes:
Day 1: Arrival - Downtown Disney (late arrival), Magic Kingdom (Early arrival)
Day 2: Magic Kingdom - Usually head straight for Fantasyland for Peter Pan and then counter clockwise from there
Day 3: Epcot - Usually starts in a sprint for fastpasses to Soarin.
Day 4: Hollywood Studios - again, usually starts with a sprint to fast passes for Toy Story midway mania.
Day 5: Magic Kingdom
Day 6: Animal Kingdom
Day 7: Epcot/Hollywood Studios
Day 8: MK or Epcot (Late Departure)

Does anyone else try to maximize their time by booking the earliest morning flight out of your hometown and then the latest flight out of Orlando? My gf thinks I'm crazy for doing it, am I crazy?

Anyone here know the Disney area well?
Last year around October, we stayed at the Nick hotel and around that area I there was a Target that had alot of Disney stuff. I believe the street was called "John Young Pkwy" but I'm not 100% sure. It was a nice sized Target. So I'm just wondering if anyone knows what I'm talking about. We tried to find it our last trip, but we couldn't find it. Any help? (Or know of any places with a lot of Disney merchandise?)

My routine certainly doesn't involve chloroforming a costumed cast member (Captain Hook, Pluto, or Goofy since they are the correct height, note head must be removed for chloroforming), donning aforementioned costume and heading down into the utilidors through the door in Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe to eat in the Mouseketeria and have my hair cut and Kingdom Kutters. I have an accomplice who takes care of the handler and they never reveal how they accomplish their feat.

Another routine, which is kind of out there, is eating a burger at Pecos Bill's.
