What is your 1st Ride Ritual when arriving at WDW

Every time my family and I arrive at Walt Disney World, we always stop by the Magic Kingdom first and make sure to ride PoTC first. Not really sure how this started other than we took a family vote ( I know, how Brady Bunch of us) one time before our trip to WDW. Now it has become part of our family ritual when we go down to Disney. I was just curious if anyone else had any rituals or routines that they follow while they were at Disney.

Mine is the 'People Mover' in MK. We usually arrive in the afternoon/evening so its a nice relaxing 'line-free' way to take in some of the atmosphere and get back into the Disney Spirit. As you say, I don't know how this started, but it does seem to be a ritual for us!

Each trip has been so different for us. It really depends on what time we get there and how our ADRs are planned. We have must first does at each park though. MK is a walk up Main Street. AK is the safari. Epcot is a visit with the gang at the Character spot. And HS is usually heading back with the masses towards the back and make our way back to the front stopping off at what ever looks fun and not a huge wait.

Hey! Us too! I was a little excited when I found out the refurb was pushed back again so we could continue our tradition this May!

It depends on what park we go to first. But we usually ride the same ride 1st at each park.

DHS: Toy Story Mania (before TSM, Rock N Roller Coaster)
Epcot: Spaceship Earth
MK: Space Mountain (2013 - Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - tried to ride Splash Mountain 1st but it was is broken first thing in the morning)
AK: Expedition Everest (before the kids could ride it, Kilimanjaro Safaris)

the flight down to Florida was always the best first ride in my book because i got one of these!

Jungle Cruise, unless the line is 30+, then its Pirates! :)

But I gotta say the shuttle at the airport too haha My dad always calls it the first ride of the trip!

Now that I think about it... we do have some odd rituals/traditions that I never noticed before! haha

I've never ridden the Peoplemover during the day.
Epcot's never the first park we go to.
ToT somehow became an evening only ride
Dinosaur is always the first and last ride at AK.

All true... but never thought about or intended. It always just happens that way haha
