What is wrong with you people?

Hey everyone. I was reading the mission space post and it made me remember how dumb people are. And how mean they can be. In the MK when we where watching Cinderella's Surprise Celebration a woman started yelling at a CM because the cast member asked the kids to get off the trees. Well they did but a few seconds later puff magically they were there again. This time the CM saw them and decided to bring a guard along. Well the guard said that they had to get off the trees or leave the park, either way (get off the trees). I mean come on, stay off the trees!
COMMON SENSE!
Then later, at Downtown Disney a man comes out of the World of Disney and a woman asks "How much did this cost?" He says the price and she flips and then he says, get this, "That stupid lady charged me this price." HELLO! She can't change the price moron. If you didn't like the price you shouldn't have bought it!
COMMON SENSE!

This next one is about me. I was so happy to be at WDW for the third day. I forgot to look at the map and I was in MGM! I couldn't find the way to get to the Backlot tour from Hunchback show. The only thing I saw was a thing that looked like the Arc De Triumphe and the Honey I shrunk the kids movie set. I didn't know you had to go through that to get to Backlot. Like I said COMMON SENSE, learn to get the map! And above all plan ahead.

OH

It makes me mad as well! People shouldent even have kids if they cant control them! I see this all the time perhaps the worst spot is around the World Showcase Lagoon on the large rocks! Man I want a stick to beat the kids off it! LOL One other spot is the Walt Disney and Mickey statue at MK. They need to show respect and stay off!

You just reminded me of my nights doing crowd control at the Mexican pavillion for Illuminations! Although I liked doing it because it meant finally getting out of the pavillion for a while during the day, it was hard trying to get parents to understand it was dangerous to sit the kids -and themselves- on the bridge walls!

I had to go over and over and over again sometimes! Had to call security too at some point... I was always nice and most of the times I got people to understand, but some others they were just stubborn. In most cases, the parents would put them up again and when they saw me coming again, put them down quickly, but muahahaha! I saw them! So they just laughed with me and in most cases didn´t do it again. Of course, there were always the disobedient ones and Security dealt with them for me... :D

AND!

Lets not forget the time I actually saw a parent put their kid inside the fence around the water show near innovations. LOL If the kid jumped up into one of those jets he would have gotten shot about 40 feet in the air. People really are clueless! I also saw someone put their kid on the hood of the buses in the World Showcase. The fool put a dent in it and scraped the bumper. I was riding with a CM and he was loading people on the back! Next thing I knew some fool was on the hood! I beeped the horn that is on the floor and he jumped off after smiling for a photo. I understand they are enjoying themselves but come on!

Heading for the great escape.
Perhaps if your country men had not developed the habit of suing each other this whole topic would be acedemic. And even better had U not exported it.

It's sad that one person's actions can ruin it for many other people. I had my run in with many stupid people down at wdw, but I just tried to ignore them and enjoy myself.

I definitely would have paid a little extra admission price to see that!

I saw a guy jump the fence by the WS lagoon just as RoE started. When the fireworks that come from the perimeter came out it missed him by less than a foot. It suprised him so much he almost fell into the lake.

I can hear that...I have a "Once a CM...Always a CM" mentality...We were watching the parade @ DL over spring break and these kids were picking EVERY flower in the planter in front of them...Plucking the petals...and then throwing them all on the ground. Once I found a CM and they told them to stop then they started LUMPING from one concrete pylon to another concrete pylon. We're talking pillars that were 3-4 feet apart. I told them to get down (plain-chothes) and, of course, they completely ignored me so I grabbed a security CM and he told them to stop. Three minutes later they were back at it. He asked where their parents were and they just ran off. I NEVER saw a parent look over their shoulder for them or anything. Grrr...

I saw something like that too Fievel...This guy climbed the fence near Canada and was stretched out on top of the rock to get good shots across the lagoon of the show...The CM managed to get him to move about 5 seconds before the light tree started to rise. In fact it grazed his elbow. He STILL didn't get off the rock though and they had to have security come and "assist" him back to the right side of the fence (And hopefully out of the park).

My catch phrase for WDW/DL/Anyplace where you have a sea of humanity:

"The flash point where the blissfully ignorant meet the blindingly stupid."

Of course then there's all of us here on the boards who treat WDW like a holy land. :D

This the worst all time moment I had in Walt Disney World. We were leaving the park at Magic Kingdom waiting online for the monorail. A guy punched an old lady right in the face. Everyone online went crazy and was yelling at that guy. There were no Security guards or CM in site.

It's sad that there are people like this, but that's the way of society today. When i'm in wdw, i'm too happy to be upset about anything. But it's these people who allow their kids to do stupid things at the park, and when something happens, they turn around and blaime disney and file a lawsuit. It's just something that's going to keep happening no matter what disney does to try to prevent it.

I swear, the number one most forgotten at home item is "COMMON SENSE"......... you'd be AMAZED at some of the dumb (and unsafe) things people do.

Driving one of the new low floor busses the other day... because they have a low floor, the two front wheelwells are quite large, and kinda just waste space. All of the seats are pretty much behind them. At any rate, I had some parent put thier little 5yo kid up on the wheelwell. If I had to make a quick stop, that kid would have went flying through the windshield. I told them that he needed to come down because it was very dangerous... the parent replied, "Yeah... I thought it might be." THEN WHY'D YOU LET HIM GET UP THERE????

Same day... I had a parent put an infant up there, and then let go of the carrier. There are some times when I wish I weren't on the clock, so that I could engrain some sense into some people... *sigh* But I have to be polite and smile.... :zipit: :zipit:

The best "common sense" thing I ever heard was in MGM when a father told his child that the Fast Pass cost a lot more money and they couldn't get one for Rock and Roller Coaster:lol:

Oh- here's another shocking thing.... It was in my Disney Store in the back of the store we have a display of snowglobes, it was a Friday night and I guess this couple had too much to drink because... she was lying on the floor and he was getting ready to... well how do I put it "make a little magic". My manager went over and they still weren't going to move and finally I guess the girl decided they better stop. Talk about lack of common sense!!
