What is this Tiki Room lyric?

There was some sort of Disney CD that mashed up the Tiki Room song with the Macarena in yet another one of Disney's attempts at being hip and cool. Just search "Tiki Room Macarena" on YouTube and you'll find it.
I feel like the world is a little worse of a place knowing that someone thought it would be a good idea to combine the timeless charm of the Tiki Room with a dance song that many found annoying even during its 5 minutes of fame.

It's kamikaze. I've seen it written like this...oh, I dunno, a million places? And it completely makes sense because the question after is "because of their claws?", i.e., they're dangerous because of their claws? Because kamikaze pilots are dangerous...get it? Sigh.

No, it’s ”clawed macaws” it makes so much more sense, and it even sounds like it.
The boys in the back are clawed macaws
because of their claws?
No because they’re macaws!

also if it was kamikaze why would be emphasized like that? You pronounce the E at the end, if it were kamikaze it would be like “kaw-MIH-kaw-ZEE”

and if you still don’t believe me I’ve tracked down Richard Sherman’s address and am planning on writing to him!

The thing is though some people hear the "Zee" syllable you mention.

Wow! This thread was revived!

I'm wondering if...well it is maybe clawed macaws, or called macaws, but part of the play on words is a kind of spoonerism of sorts.

A neat tongue twister is "black bug's blood." It is hard to say it five times fast, much harder than the Peter Piper tongue twister.

There are many ways to play on words....

This thread is a perfect example of why misinformation and rumor travel so fast. Some people will believe and give credence to most anything they hear. It is, of course, absolutely preposterous for any reasonable person to give credibility to the notion that the word "kamikaze" is contained within the Tiki Room lyrics.

Yet, here we are six pages later. Even though lyric sheets have been posted, some people still insist on continuing to spread this misinformation. And unfortunately, this same type of misinformation permeates society to the point that it causes real harm.

Wait...

....What?

The only picture of an actual Disney book lyric sheet - that was posted on the first page - post #11- says "Kamikaze."

Right but the emphasis is still wrong, and I don’t hear ZEE. I can probably track down the isolated vocals if you’re interested.
"Zee" either doesn't exist, is clearly audible or is overlapped by Be(cause) in the next line. Depending on what you hear. Or not.

The "emphasis" is still inline with how Americans pronounce it as being a four syllable word. Exaggerated structure to better fit the flow of the song and due inpart because of the character's accent. Assuming it's kamikaze.

Learned “misinformation” during the pandemic, eh? Tired of hearing that word. This is just a friendly argument!
