Ok- I just got back from WDW and I wondering what the stupidest thing is that you have ever heard at the parks? My husband and I were walking through MGM and we heard a father tell his daughter that the "Fastpass line is much more expensive than the Standby line". I couldn't stop laughing!! Just wanted to know if there were other remarks that made anyone laugh.

Not quite the same, but I did find it funny when leaving Epcot one evening in May, when in the parking lot I heard a woman ask her kids 'do you remember those numbers mummy told you....' whilst looking in various directions.:animwink:

Inside the park: I forget the exact statement, but my wife thought that Ben Franklin et. all in The American Adventure were actors. Also, some lady actually believed we were descending 100s of feet in those elevators in the Living Seas.
Outside the park: "What time does the Mackinac Bridge swing over to the Island?":brick:

I've also gotten remarks in the elevator at LIVING SEA'S where people actually thought we were descending 100's of feet. I remember one lady thinking her ears were getting puffed up because of the pressure difference.

My favorite: "What time does the 3 o'clock parade start?" I think they mean, when does it come past where they are. But it sounds so funny!

I've heard similar things about FastPass two years ago like..."You have to stay at a Resort to use those", or "It takes an hour to wait in that line" (referring to the return time), and my favorite "Why do all those #@$! people get to brek in front of us on the big rides". Will people ever fully comprehend the great advantage that FastPass is meant to be? I thought by now people would be knowledgable about FastPass.

Also, I have heard people say that IoA is just a new addition to US, even when I tell them it is a seperate park. They just don't get it. Maybe that's why attendence is still down. In US, I heard a woman ask someone how do they get to the green coaster, that they couldn't find it.

My mom's friend used to be a castmember to plan vacations for people and stuff like that. And somebody asked her one day "What time does the 3 o'clok parade start". She thought it was a joke.

Glad to know that I'm not the only one that found that remark funny:lol:

I also thought that was just a big joke, untill I heard it TONS of times during my CM time...

Also, there was this guy who wanted to know where was his car when he left MK, because he knew he had parked right by the gates.
And I had a little boy come to me and ask where Jaws was, he couldn't find it.
And a guy came to me in Frontierland and asked where he could find a restroom in Tomorrowland.

If I remember others, I'll post them... :D

durhay, that is so funny. I live about 20 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge and I hear that one all the time. My parents used to own a shop in Mackinaw City and at least once a day you would hear someone ask "What time does the Mackiac Bridge swing over to the island?" My mom would tell them that they just missed it from this side, but if you drive across to St. Ignace you might catch it from that side. I wonder how many people actually took her advice and tried it. lol

When I was walking through the Studios, I saw a father and his daughter looking at a map and he said something along the lines of "Now, Where is that King Kong ride at?"

Another time on the Jungle Cruise ( a long time ago, back when this still happened) When the skipper shot the hippos, I couls have sworn I heard a british woman say "Ah, Why did he shoot that poor creature"

But in my opinion, Some of the best can be found in "More Mouse Tales", sure, they're from Disneyland, but they still are good.
Star Tours: "You must have a HUGE building that you fly this thing in!"

how about...
from a CM's point of view.....
1) is the wait time actually 30 minutes?
a) from this point or that point?
2) what does single rider mean? can i take my husband with me also? or is standby for couples only?
3) for north easterners, how do we use that ez-pass thing (refering to fastpass) or another reference to fastpass is speedpass. (no! this aint exxon/mobil!!)
thats about it for that...

My faves from the queue..

A woman leading some foreign tour group and we explained the ride's legnth to her and her single "lets wait outside" tourist - so that they could figure out how much longer till the rest of the group came out. Then we explained some about the ride, i mentioned something about "big dinosaurs..." and the tourist woman started shouting "Monkey! Monkey!" and trying to go into the line... and then the Tour Group woman shouted "No Monkey! I told you that alread! There is no Monkey! Universal! Universal has the Monkey!" but the tourist insisted "Monkey-Monkey!" and I really had to force myself not to laugh hysterically.

And there is explaining the "Itty bitty room.. big giant building..." paradox no one understands. There is more thna the preshow.. Though i have gotten fed up and told some guests that we used giant mirrors to reflect the images of our animatroincs acting out the scenes to the projectors and that is why our building takes up so much space...

Oh yes, and the reason i wont let anyone in or out between shows is because the core of the building with the guests has begun to burrow all of the way to the center of the earth for the show and we don't want anyone falling into the hole between shows.

I was at MK with a friend who had never been to WDW before. Keep in mind, this guy has been on Millenium Force and several more of the most intense roller coasters anywhere. Yet, when we got off of Space Mountain, he said, "Man, that's the fastest ride I've ever been on!"

this one happened on our last day at the parks on the Monorail going to MK! This other family was in the car with us. The father asked his daughter as we saw Tomorrowland, "Wow Spaceship Earth looks a lot different than I had expected" then the daughter told him that SE was at EPCOT. To make it worse the father would not stop talking he then said "well at least we can ride Test Track once we get inside" I was getting so AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it seemed like the longest but funniest monorail ride!!

(not really a "comment" or "remark" but a silly act nonetheless): I've been in the Haunted Mansion stretching room and have seen people force their way through the crowd so they can be right next to the doors when they open...only they were completely on the opposite side of the room from where the doors opened. That's always funny.

I've lost count of how many people think Spaceship Earth is a roller coaster (Don't most roller coasters have warning signs posted everywhere stating it's a thrill ride?)

I don't think I've ever heard this one at WDW, but at DL I frequently hear people refer to Space Mountain as "Magic Mountain" (apparently confusing it with the roller coaster park that's about an hour away).
