I like your contribution to these forums ... your main line seems to be 'google it, and do a search of past posts.'

Sorry if this thread has been done to death, was simply just asking.

No you weren't simply asking. If you have been looking at other sites and YouTube videos as you've claimed, then you'd know the effect this topic would have. As would reading any of the multiple threads on this site alone.

I wasn't simply asking ?! Confused.com

I've only started posting here for a few days, so wasn't aware of old posts. Why don't you relax and ignore the post, and continue reading old posts.

"Reading alot of sites, watching youtube videos, there seems to be one overriding complaint ... the Brazilian problem."

You're aware.....

What do they chant ?

It must be the tour guides who are encouraging them to do this, and thus responsible. You can't just have a colony of people coming into the parks doing the same thing. This behavior isn't prevelent in Brazil.

Are the adults okay ?
In Brazil they are still loud in general, and there is a culture of tremendous disrespect by the haves against the have-nots. (And it is precisely the rich brats who make it to WDW). But no, the incessant chanting is a product of the tour group identity process.

Here is a Disney parade in Brazil. Two things are noteworthy. One, there are better Disney parades in Brazil than in WDW, and two, the atmosphere isn't ruined by obnoxious chanting pests.

Oh don't be to facetious. I am aware that there is a problem, but not the specifics. Isn't this a forum ?

A forum where (like the other sites you've apparently read) the problem is part and parcel of the discussion.....

I don't love the chanting or cheerleaders yelling their cheer stuff. But it is what it is. Big groups of teens...obnoxious behavior, nothing new there.

I did very much NOT like the line-cutting or being pushed out of the way by a guy who was literally walking through the line and PUSHING people!

But (and I've said this before), I really think Disney has made a half-hearted attempt to stop the line cutting, because I have noticed a decrease in it. And one girl's friends were encouraging her to cut in line and she kind of looked around at people like, "Dare I?" then walked off.

I really think Disney has at least asked them to stop cutting and pushing. I can't see any other reason for it to have improved.

Disney tells Brazilians at the gate to stop pushing in? I don't think so.

More likely the people are more aware of the complaints.

We need time for things to happen.

There's your problem right there. Has nothing to do with Brazillians or Cheerleaders it has everything to do with that.

My daughter on the phone or with one of her friends is obnoxious enough to make me want to jump off a cliff. She's a great kid and well behaved but get her with a couple of her friends and watch out.

This is truth.

In my experience the tour groups have been better behaved since Disney added the Brazilian super greeters. But at the end of the day they are large groups of teenagers with more freedom than they are typically used to, they are bound to annoy people. Just as the large groups of cheerleaders, pee wee football players, and band kids from the US.

If anyone is concerned about the tour groups it's best to avoid scheduling a trip in January, July and August in particular. I wish I could book my trips to avoid people who annoy me but then I'd never get to go! ;)
