What is one closed attraction that is considered beloved on here, but you think was over rated ?

No
They're bringing it to EPCOT, potentially. It's coming back either way :D
I missed this one. But seriously:

In terms of one I've been on? Probably Ellen's Universe of Energy, but I was like... 12? when I last rode it. But I certainly loved those dinos.

Splash mountain. Do not understand all the critique aimed at Tiana or the nostagia of Splash after finally experiencing the latter.

Rode Splash before COVID, recently rode the WDW version of Tiana. In both cases my non-Disney fan friend and family members rode with me. None of them knew Song of the South, Brer rabbit and have not watched Princess of the Frogs before. And they were all more intriqued by the Tiana ride, and would have rode again if not for queue system. Some of them even finally watched Princess & the Frogs later that night because the ride resonated with them. None of them bothered to ask me what Splash was based on before. In fact we used to avoid Splash because the ride wasn't interesting enough for us to warrant getting miserably wet for the rest of the day.

Was just about to post this. On paper, it was just my kind of attraction. In real life, however, it was distinctly underwhelming. I much prefer its replacement.
idk...i kinda miss the great movie ride somewhat since i like movies a lot! especially the homage to the public enemy scene recreating the oh so memorable scene with James Cagney! off to listen to lion king music (roar) while i dig holes in the backyard bc everyone needs a hobby...maybe ill see butterfly and hummingbird...have fun everyone! Who could ever forget the Home Alone scene with the ordering of the pizza which was inspired by the movie Angels with Dirty Faces from 1938 with the late great James Cagney...how awesome...it's available on laserdisc too...exactly like the media they were watching in Carousel Of Progress 🙃ill have to pick up a copy! Thank you AI Google!

I think the original may have been better, but I think the problem was after Dinosaur (I still call it Countdown to Extinction, a superior name than the generic one) came along, It was kinda just like a slow version of that, and less accurate too. I miss the spitting dino though but I can just go to Universal. It may have suffered from the same thing the Living seas suffers from which is it's a lightweight version of an attraction elsewhere in the area (in this case same with Dinosaur). However Mission Space doesn't have that problem because it's more intense, yet less educational. But with the Centauri Space Station, If you can get there, It's unbelievably cool.

I think the problem is that Now the ever important topic of the future of energy is not addressed in the park, and instead crammed into a quick video in the Land. Disney world was responsible for getting me interested in EVERYTHING I'm interested in today, Scifi, space, fantasy, adventure, travel, science, animals, History, America, Movies, modes of transit, (Trains/Cars etc) and even cute guys (After a cute encounter with peter pan as a kid, where he was actually able to pick me up cuz it was the 90s). It also made me want to be Tinkerbelle so there's that. Today how can it become that for someone else?

Ok I got sidetracked but yeah

Body Wars 🤢🤮🤮🤢 my cousin had to crouch on the floor until it was over.
Body wars caused a body war huh? (sorry had to)

It's not for everyone but I loved the intensity. I didn't get motion sick so It never got to me. I also understood that yeah the human body is gross but It's important. Also The part where they say "Pressure's too strong rudders wont respond" Was soooo cool! I'd ride that right before Maelstrom so I still had that slight fear of Maelstrom in my body (I always thought It'd fall out the back of the infinite pool falls.) Coupled together with that made it more intense. It's the rides that scared me most as a kid that I loved most as an adult. Because of those moments, not in spite of them.

The prior Kitchen Kabaret was significantly better than Food Rocks... maybe it's just me, but I feel like that also aligns with the general sentiment here (the nostalgia is for the former, not the latter).

Agreed, by the time you got to the third act of that ride, most people were done.... then they force you to watch a 12 minute video that wasn't terribly "fun" or innovative. Almost similar to when they used to force you to watch the video about 5-minute video about Norway after you just got off Maelstrom.
That's the problem with GMR too, The one thing I didn't like. After all the battles and the antics, It just ended with a bunch of trailers.

It should have ended with some kind of action scene or spectacular display. Maybe t hat's how it coulda been saved. I usually turn off ride videos after Casablanca and Wizard

To be fair, that wasn't Splash mountain at it's best. It was mostly run down and half of it was broken. The Disneyland Version was in far better shape and was full of SO many working animatronics last 20 times I rode it (in one trip) that It made me ride it 20 times in one trip! Compared to the five in Florida. And that was during a hurricane season vs during a rainy cold california day so conditions should have been similar at least (though it was freezing in that water!)

I never rode Horizons so can't really judge but from POV videos I've watched, I'm really not sure what all the fuss is about.
I have never had a meal at the Rose and Crown, but from my POV when I walk by and seeing them dine outside, I’m really not sure what all fuss is about.

That’s not really the same thing though is it.

The amount of people that get defensive over a ride is quite comical. I love It’s a Small World but you don’t see me throwing a hissy and throwing snarky remarks at people every single time someone mocks it and wishes for it’s demise 🙄

It is. I am calling out people with no experience, needing offer a reply. It is no different than me asking about staying at the Contemporary, and getting the response, “I never stayed there but…"

The people who didn’t visit the original EPOCT claiming they experienced it though youtube, is the same as me not going to the football game on Sunday, but saw it on TV, so therefore it was just like I was there.
