What is it that you miss when you come home from your disney vacation?

EVERYTHING!!! I cry when we have to leave!! It's a serious problem because I end up missing all the fun on our last day because I know that we won't be staying there that night. I think the thing I miss the most is going back to the hotel at night knowing that you are sleeping in the middle of it all and waking up to start another magical day!!:animwink:

Being entertained all day

Eating wonderful food in beautiful restaurants

Waking up and remembering that I'm at Disney World

I miss that I cannot were my Speedo 24/7 like I do at Disney. There is a thing called a dress code at my work other wise I would wear a Speedo every day of the year.

I also miss all of that wonderfull food at WDW. It is the best, and when you are an eating machine like myself you miss good food like at WDW.

I miss everything too, but specifically the smell of the hotel food court...always the same no matter how many years in between visits, the late night strolls to the food court to fill my mug before bed, the classic rides such as SE, PotC, etc, Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bars (what I'd do for one of those right now!), and all the small things that make a trip special.
On our last day at Disney I cry the entire bus trip back from the park to the hotel!
I've got a long way to wait, our next trip isn't going to be until 2006! This site keeps me going!

Cute story. :)

What I miss? I miss cuddling up under the covers of a CBR bed on a cool evening, watching the Disney Channel. I miss the smells of the indoor rides. I miss walking to the OPR food court for a Mickey waffle or chicken strips w/ my sis. I miss the way CMs tease me. I miss the damp odor after a rain or in Splash Mt. I miss seeing J. Cricket @ the end of SpectroMagic. I miss entering the Contemporary by monorail. I miss the gift shops. I miss the post-MK evenings @ Capt. Cook's. I miss sitting @ the BW, eating a pizza slice past dusk. I even miss the palms trees. But I especially miss how calm my family is when we arrive, and throughout the whole trip...that's where the magic sets in.

The thing I miss most is the lack of negativity. Like the guy said on one of the vacation planning videos, you can go to WDW and totally remove yourself from the real world. Unless you choose to watch your TV, you have no idea about all of the negative stuff going on in the outside world, and personally, I could care less when I am at WDW.

For a less idealistic response, I would have to agree with an earlier poster about people watching while waiting for a parade.

You are so right. I really hope Disney never loses the "perfect world" preception. There is no other place that can make people feel this way and it's a priceless feeling.

I miss the magic of it all. I miss that me and my family all get along in Disney, I miss the food, I miss the rides, i miss the shows, I miss just riding around and exploring, I miss getting kicked out of the guitar store, I miss DtD, and most of all I MISS THE MOUSE.

I miss not having to deal with anything in the real world, and the relaxed not have to worry about feel.

I miss walking into my cool room after a night at the parks, when that cool wave and the smell of the rooms hits you,

I miss spending all the time you have with who ever you go with,

I miss seeing space ship earth and Cinderella’s castle at night

And everything else, I always liken the place to a drug, once you have it you want more and more

I miss everything (gee, original response, eh?) :animwink:

I love just being there; the atmosphere, the smells, the sounds.... all of it just enchants me and calms me like nothing else in the world (not even my wife ;) )

I miss the Monorail, the food courts at the resorts, walking down Main Street, seeing the entrance to the parks, and not having to worry about anything. Except how to pay for it all afterwards.

I could be really corney and say that i miss every thing, but more than anything else i miss the magic. The real disney magic, the magic that makes you smile, that makes everyone smile, the magic that sends tingles down your spine and a tear to your eye(well most people's) as When You Wish Upon A Star is piped out.

jonny :) everybody smile:)
