This is probably what they are doing to do...It will also be a much easier job then Spaceship Earth was. The sign is close to the ground and will take no more than a night to change.

The park is mainly a tribute to the movies, not just "Disney", although I agree Disney should be the main focus of the park. But at least for the GMR, I think they should showcase more than just Disney movies.
BTW, did you know Mary Poppins premiered at Mann's Chineese Theater? So either way, it is a part of Disney history.

Either way, the Chinese Theatre is an awesome thing to look at. It's overwhelming and envokes the same feelings in a person just as Cinderella's Castle or SSE does. I'm saddened that it's effect is being cut short by that big hat which doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

Fantasia -- it was good the first time around, but there was a degree of lameness the 2nd time. I'd rather be krazy glued to a bench @ Epcot in the World Showcase watching Tapestry Of Dreams over and over again.
Lets see.. how does that song go again? "Way la--- ba way lah.. way lah... waaaaaay yay yay.... " Ok -- I never said I wrote the song.
I remember some guy I overheard at the World Showcase while having dinner in France said to his wife that the song was some sort of "African Chant" for peace and serenity. I turned around to the guy, got his attention, and asked, "Where did you hear that from? The song doesn't translate to anything in english." He sat there with his face redder than a beet.

yes, I too love the Chineese Theater. I've seen the actuall thing, and I'd almost argue that Disney's is better (mostly because it has a ride in it
) It is too bad they couldnt put the hat somewhere else, but to be a "centerpiece", I guess they didnt have much choise.
Well, when they added Sunset Blvd, it cut off a large part of the corner of his head, but his face could still be seen in the central hub. now the hat got rid of a lot of that.
I thought it would be cool if the hat was just a bit closer to Hollywood Blvd, then the hidden mickey would be wearing a hat! (but then the hat would be blocking everyones path, lol)
