Hi Everyone, I keep reading in threads about Funnel Cake, what type of cake is it? Where in Disney would you recommend me trying it? I am from UK and haven't heard of it, but would love to try it:slurp:

Funnel cake

Hi!! I'm new here too. Funnel cake is a cross between a doughnut batter and a cake batter. It is poured from a funnel and deep fried. Sometimes topped with powdered sugar or a fruit topping. It is vey good but a ton of calories:sohappy:

They are the best things in the world!:slurp: Looks kind of odd, but they are delicious. In the MK, you can get them at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square. At Epcot you can get them at the Funnel cake kiosk at the American Adventure. Not sure where else on property they are available.

You may have heard of fried dough? That's what they call their version of it up here in New England. Funnel cake is much better, usually you can find it at fairs and carnivals too.

They are delicious, but remember if you get one with powdered sugar on it, when taking a bite of it, don't exhale because then the sugar will be all over you.

Lol-do not wear a dark colored shirt either. I made the mistake of wearing a navy shirt and eating a funnel cake-I had the powder everywhere :ROFLOL:. There are so good though it is worth it.

:lol:Yes, they are VERY messy! Also, do not try to eat an entire one by yourself. You might not feel very well about half an hour later!

Funel cake, tastycake, pretzel cones at the shore...the best reasons to live in Jersey.

P.S. If they say the cake is hot, wait before you try to eat it. It gets my kids everytime.

Funnel Cakes taste better when they are shared with those you Love.

And remember this: Birds like them too so keep an eye out for sneaky flying creatures. They also like to linger under your table in case you drop some.

I know, off topic, but we recently took my daughters to Ayr Seaside and we were sitting on a bench at the beach and decided to get some lunch. We went to the Chip Shop and got fish suppers and sausage suppers - my daughter went to take a bite of her battered sausage and a great big seagull pinched it from her hand - so funny - she got such a fright:goodnevil. She is now terrified is eating anything outside:ROFLOL:

I live about 10 mins from Ocean City. I could just eat that stuff from one end of the boardwalk to the other.
