Cinderellabration's last performance will be on September 16. It is going to be replaced by some new show. Also, the HCOE decorations on the castle are going to be removed starting in September. That is everything that is leaving. All of the other new attractions (Soarin', LMA and Everest) are permanent additions to their respective parks.

Castle Decor, Flags on entry signs will go back to multicolor, Cinderellabration, and heck of alot of banners will magically find their way to Ebay.

Not to mention merchandise will be getting the boot.

You will no longer hear about how " ITS THE HAPPIEST CELEBRATION ON EARTH AND YOUR PART OF IT!!!!!!111!"

Oh, and the wand is coming down... :animwink:

Disney will be closing after the 50th. They figured 50 years of handling guests was enough. look for Six flags over Florida to be opening the fall. jk.

Ya, what they said above.

no, I think horizons was being goofy. We all wish it would come down, but there hasn't been any hint at it coming down although anyone with any aesthetic sense whatsoever should know that it needs to come down. It was cool for the millenium celebration, but like the castle decorations it has long lost it's coolness and is now a blight on the face of one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture in the US.

Kinda figured. But we can dream can't we?

I guess we can starting October 1st, 2006 because it will be the Year of a Million Dreams. Maybe since so many of us have the same dream, it could come true.

The wand is NOT going down - in fact, there was a press release a while back (I looked for the link and couldn't find it) in which WDW management stated they were very pleased with the Wand and that it is a permanent addition. If i find that link, I will post - perhaps someone else has a link to it -- we had a whole forum topic on it not long ago.

I think that the wand is a good thing to the Big Ball. Maybe since Epcot is turning the big 25 they will put something up instead of Epcot. Let the Bling on the castle go.

After the last post I thought about it more. I would love to see LMA gone. Then Disney return the Backlot to the way it use to be. You know the houses of TV. Then they put the lights that go up around Xmas.

Yeah, thats kinda why I put this :animwink: at the end of the sentence...

or maybe I meant that I heard from my superdeluxe inside sources the wand will become a candle for Epcot's 25th! or the launch tower for Timeracers...

Expedition Everest will be packed up and shipped to Hong Kong following the footsteps of Lucky.

According to recent estimates, it will take 40,653,748 steamer trunks to be expertly packed by jigsaw puzzle competition winners.

Hey everyone, I heard from a very RELIABLE source that as a celebration for the 25th they will be adding another hand with a sparkler and a birthday hat on top of the ball...the hat will come down after a year but the sparkler will stay permanent...oh yea, and theyre gonna document the whole thing on a new MTV special "My super sweet 25th" in which EPCOT cries and moans until the daddy figure "played by Imagineers" crack and give it back its coveted Journey into Imagination with Figment! This is definitely all true.
