Oh it was May the 4th...that could definitely explain it. I was also gonna say maybe there was an influx for a special event or something.
I made sure to avoid the parks on the actual May the Fourth (that might have been why we lucked out so much with Knott's being dead) but between the other Star Wars Nights going on that week and Hyperspace reopening it certainly wasn't great timing overall. I'm sure there were a lot of tourists there specifically coming for May the Fourth.

I'm a tall, super awkward, intimidating looking guy.
Hmm. Before a recent vlog, I would have guessed you were 6 inches shorter than @MickeyWaffleCo.
I feel like it's probably a disability thing for me then. My anxiety has gotten worse over the years and I found myself just constantly getting in people's way.
You know my older brother who is more squarely on the autism spectrum than me has had a more difficult time going to amusement parks of late, too. The last time he went was a rather dead day at the local amusement park. For me, the busy days are more like a lost opportunity--you get fewer rides in.

I'm going live in about an hour and a half with my final thoughts on the ill-fated Disneyland trip as well as (on a more positive note) my thoughts on the new Toon Town and Runaway Railway. Very much want to make the stream an interactive AMA type of thing so I hope to see some of you there :) And yes, I'll also be trying out a Power Lime 🤣

Alright so it’s June, here’s every new release from May I watched. It’s a lot less than April, not really a ton I was interested in seeing. May was also not a very strong month, especially after how strong April was,

5. White Men Can’t Jump- I like the original a lot, it’s got that cheesy 90s charm. This remake didn’t need to happen, nor did it capture that cheese or camp. Probably the most direct to Hulu movie I can imagine.

4. Fast X- This franchise has gone on 10 movies too long but they keep dragging me back for the pure ridiculousness that comes from it. Unfortunately, the issue here is this one didn’t up the ante like the other ones so it just kinda fell flat. Also, why the hell is this gonna be 3 movies to tell the end?

3. The Little Mermaid- I love the original film and I’m pretty anti-live action remake, but I can’t lie, this one was pretty inoffensive. Halle Bailey was perfect as Ariel, Melissa McCarthy shocked me with how much I liked her as Ursula, and the rest of it was all around alright. I can’t say it justified its existence, but we live under capitalism so this is the schlock we get fed, at least it tastes alright. Awkwafina absolutely needs to stop being cast in things though…

2. Blood and Gold- I didn’t expect much from this but it’s a decent action adventure, though the idea of following a German deserter in the 1940s maybe isn’t the lead I want to follow. Movie was alright, but the only reason it’s so high is the rest of the movies are just not good or meh at best.

1. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3- When I tell you this movie struck a chord with me, I mean it. This movie has quickly taken a top 3 spot in my absolute favorites of all time, and while I do understand why not everyone adores it like I do, this one means so much to me. I’ve seen it 4 times already, and while I don’t do physical media anymore, I fully plan on picking this up in 4k just to have it. Absolutely adored this movie.

With that, June begins! I’m sitting in the theater right now waiting for Across the Spiderverse to start
