I seriously plan to do a few of those Viking cruises in the future! I love the idea of such small boats with so many stops in fascinating places to get a sampling. I love that tours and port experiences are included in their fares, too. Makes those good deals even better.

Got an email last night for Viking's new ocean voyager that will be setting sail in 2015, I think. Total of like 900-something staterooms every one of them with verandahs. The pool on the back of the ship has one end that's plexiglass so it's like an infinity edge that looks off the back of the ship. That looks so cool! I loved their description of an intimate experience. The small size and intimate feel is what we really love about the smaller Disney ships.

Just a word of warning: I do get the impression that the average age on these cruises must be around 70. I live in a city that is along one of their routes and work very close to one of the main tourist attractions here. We regularly see the cruise excursion groups in front of our building (they have little viking signs) and around the city. Very few people under 50 among them!!
