It's hilarious that Disney even opened the park with it looking like that. You go back 30 years ago they would have that scrubbed off before opening.
But....but.... I harms my sensibilities. How dare they. My house is spotless, roof, gutters, sewer drains, you name it..spotless. Seriously, I have no problem with something like that. If it's dirt, the next rain will fix it, if it's bird droppings (big bird, btw) it will be cleaned, however, back when the wand was there those sparkles of "pixie dust" that were permanently attached to SSE were completely offensive. I did like the wand though.Again, this occurs on a fairly regular basis and has been confirmed by people in the know as power washing. Not birds. Not lighting. And certainly nothing worth closing the park over.
This was my initial thought too when I saw it. How sad.Probably a lightning strike.
Uh, why are people still speculating as to the cause when its already been confirmed as pressure washing?
Some people can't accept an answer.
Must have been caused by lightning...that's the only answer I can even think of.Uh, why are people still speculating as to the cause when its already been confirmed as pressure washing?
Does anyone know how long it will take them to eventually clean off the top? We're going the week of Oct 6-11, and I would hate for my children to see this.
I really couldn't agree more, no matter what happens, it's presented as Disney in general and TDO in particular as being evil incarnate on this board. They upgrade ANY attraction and "they've ruined [fill in attraction name here], I'll never go back" or heaven forbid demolish an attraction to build a new one and "They've destroyed the whole park, [fill in attraction name here] was Walt's favorite and represented the true spirit of [fill in park name here], they've ruined it for me and I'm never going back again They don't update a ride and "[fill in attraction name here] is completely outdated, why don't they ever reimagine it. The way they have let this place go I'm never coming back". They wash SSE "Look how horrible that looks, they just don't keep it up like they used to" {FYI, in 1984 when all was right with the World I saw SSE with large black areas near the top}, and of course when they don't wash SSE "Look how horrible that looks, they just don't keep it up like they used to". This one is particularly stupid because it would not be physically possible to wash a structure that size during one night between closing and opening.I just don't understand this place. People complain if things don't get cleaned and people complain when things are in the process of being cleaned. There is zero sense on this board anymore.
