Disney-Pixar Studios? Still, the MGM aspects are very nostalgic.......

Nostalgic and a key element to one of our favorite attractions, The Great Movie Ride. What are the ramifications if the MGM relationship ends?

I've always called it just "MGM", so I really hope they don't change it. "Disney-MGM Studios" has such a nostalgic effect when I hear it, and I don't want that to change.

most people call it "MGM"....which is a problem

MGM is not a Disney brand.....so the (soon to be) #4 park is referred to by most people as the name of a competitor.....even Iger has referenced the park as "MGM"

They made from the earth to the moon there as well as a hercules type live show, wheel of fortune was done there for a bit also. The outside shots of golden girls and empty nest homes and Earnest saves christmas house were on the backlot there. There were various disney channel shows made besides those.

I call it Disney Studios because of that very fact. A tremendous percentage of guests and cast members call it MGM, and it drives me nuts. If you need to shorten the park name, call it "The Studios", not MGM.

I was proud of Eisner during his show last week when he called Walt Disney World Walt Disney World. Most people just call it Disney World, but he got it right.

He's been good at that for as long as I can remember actually. Say what you want about the guy, but I still like him.

I think the last live action movie they shot at the Studios was the direct to video Muppet film, Kermit's Swamp Years. When they got rid of the animation studios, they essentially got rid of any traces of the days the park was a working studio.

uhhh... thunder in paradise?! how could that be forgotten!

Forget Thunder in Paradise? We aren't that fortunate :(

I like the sound of Disney-ABC Studios personally.

I'd like to see it be called Disney Studios. But Disney-ABC Studios didn't sound too horrible; sticking with DS is probably the safest though. If they're heading toward being the number four park, I don't think they should be worrying about a name change, as that'll only complicate some matters.
