What happened at UK Pavillion on 4/12/09???

Hmmm, very interesting. It seems as though they were informed of something being there (something had to initiate them going to investigate: a sound? a smell?) and they brought the Dog with them, who found it. They seem to have left it in there, and they seem to have been slightly amused.

It could have been anything from a moving toy that someone activated then put in there to human feces that someone put in there....and neither would surprise me.

They were probably making sure there are no "gangs" there. They don't want to have to close the UK pavilion and be forced to build more restaurants and shops there. Disney can't afford to lose another popular bar:p

Or maybe it was some drunken flamboyant Adventurers Club groupie who was threatening to throw himself into the World Showcase lagoon if Disney didn't open Pleasure Island again.
(You started it)

Most likely is what was said before a unattented bag/package. Looks like it was in the Kim Posssible drop location, and looked like there were a few of the KP CM's there also. Could have been they went to retrieve ther returned locators and found something unusual. We were ar Electric Umbrella upstairs one day eating and noticed a Security Guard standing next to a backpack that was sitting next to the building. Se stood there for quite a while, not touching it once, waiting. Then finally a dog and handler came, he nosed around it, then the Guard opened it, looked through it, and they left with the bag.

The guy with the dog appeared to be a disney employee. Disney has its own bomb sniffing dogs?!?!? (just when I think I have a handle on this resort, something new comes up that completely astounds me.)

Hey WDWRLD! Where is your Avatar pic taken? Looks like something you would see at either Castaway Cay or Hilton Head Island...and since I haven't been to either, i can't tell!

EDIT: looking at your homepage answered my question! Looks like a fun place to visit! Thanks for having your pictures available for sharing!

EDIT EDIT: WDWRLD, I'm very impressed with the site you put together! Kinda weird going through a stranger's vacation Pictures though! It must have been fun having a few days at WDW, then going on a Disney Cruise, then going BACK to WDW and Sea World! I can't wait till I have kids of my own to take trip hopping! Looks like your son had a blast!

My first thought was "That would be a cool job, walking around the parks with your dog"

Then I remembered these guys sniff out potential BOMBS.

:lookaroun

But I guess if you're going to do that kind of work, Disney is a cool place to do it!

So, the new Kim Possible game is going on, which correct me if I'm wrong is a type of scavenger hunt through EPCOT, and some poor unsuspecting guest reports one of the KP items as an "unattended package"...

:ROFLOL::ROFLOL::ROFLOL:

No CM or Manager thought of that?

As said, happens all the time. People forget things anyways, and even more so with the excitement, heat and madness of a vacation somewhere like WDW. I`ve seen and reported a few myself; one I know didn`t get picked up by it`s owner the same night was in the hub after closing when I was with a group coming from the Frontierland RR crossing - we were the last in the park behind the `sweep` when I saw a bag next to the partners statue. It was unattended for at least 5 minutes with no one coming up MSUSA to claim it. Security did instead.

In summer 2002 I spotted a large abandoned backpack by the fountain in front of the American pavilion at Epcot. I watched it for a while then went into the gift shop right there only to be treated with a very lackluster response. Two cast members gave me a "So what do you want me to do about it?"-look and when I finally suggested it should probably be checked out, a cashier went out and picked it up herself. She then brought it into the gift shop and dropped it behind the counter. It was so soon after September 11th I had been expected more of an organized response.
I've always hoped that security has gotten better since then so it's good to see that they have some sort of special unit now.
