What else do these CMs do?

I'm not in entertainment, but I work with entertainment. Someone in entertainment will know better.
From what I understand, Dream Along With Mickey is not an Equity cast. Most of those people also do meet and greets; though usually, not the same day. And until recently, the castle stage show people also did the parade the same day they were in the show. That is changing. During P&P parties they like to use the same princesses in the 3 pm parade as they use in the night parade.

Yes and no- there are a lot of shows that are a mix of Equity and regular entertainment performers- DAWM, FOLK, BatB, Twas, & CTS are all examples. With DAWM, all the dancers (in blue) are equity, while the characters are ent. So the characters do meet & greets too, while the equity cast just dances in the show.

There was one guy that was I have seen be the host at Millionaire, Jim Handy at the Hoop De Do, gave me a kiss on the cheek as Hathaway Browne at AC and then I saw him on TV on the commercial for Mission Space when it first opened.

Typically, people who are specifically dancers are Equity. Also, anyone who speaks or sings *live* in a show is Equity. (Most chorus parts are pre-recorded and the "chorus" is just lip-synching. Those parts are not Equity)
I think that was one reason why the Hunchback show closed. It was VERY heavy on Equity actors. There were at least 8 in that show.

what about that "main" guy in the FOLK at AK? I've been to disney 15 times in the last 10yrs and he is ALWAYS in it, everytime I've seen it.. I saw him on the ABC Christmas Day Parade too.. he is awesome!

He is also Equity! As is the three other singers. Generally any actor who has a mic and is singing or talking live is Equity. Also any high skilled Dancers that require special "stunt" moves.

Also to give another perspective. In Block Party, all the performers in that parade are usually in HSM, friends of Power Rangers, or other set characters. Afterwards, part of the cast for BPB will do a set in front of the hat and then move over to Fantasmic!

Another difference between equity performers and entertainment CMs: the equity performers get paid VERY well.

And Toystoryma, I know exactly which singer you're talking about. He's been there every single time I've seen the show, and I went a LOT during my CP. He must never take vacations or get sick.

I'm going to guess you are wrong here. The parades are generally down/lunch time for the other performers. There is a Power Ranger show, and a HSM show very soon after BPB. They don't run and change costumes that often or that quickly. Also, there is no set in front of the hat after BPB. HSM begins soon after BPB. There used to be a set with performers from Stars and Motor cars, but not anymore. Thos people from Stars and Motor Cars used to do a set in front of the hat and then head over to Fantasmic. Not anymore.

For example, Capt Hook, Mr Smee, Peter, Wendy, Jasmine, Aladdin, Pooh, Tigger, Snow White, etc are not available for meet and greets during the parade. As soon as the parade is over, they come back for more meet and greets. One could assume they hightail it over to the parade and then hightail it back. However, you know what assuming does.

Well I can assure you that the majority of HSM and Power Ranger performers go right into Block Party Bash. Not only do I know several of the performers in BPB and HSM but if you watch both you can clearly pick out the cast from HSM. I also know who several of the Power Rangers are and can watch BPB and pick out them as well.
I will accept that I am wrong about the set after parade. I just guessed they kept it because of scheduling reasons for Fant! but I have not stuck around after Block Party to Confirm. I suppose with the longer parade there is no reason to have that set.

Last trip there, my wife and I were watching the Village Beatniks (drum group) on Discovery Island in the morning. Later that day we picked out the drummers in diffferent costumes riding to floats and playing drums in the Jammin Jungle Parade.

Correct. I know a few of the performers, and most of them do both HSM and BPB in the same day.

If my facts are correct, this fist-fighting Nazi in the movie is the same guy who does this scene in the Stunt show.

Ummmm, I kinda hope not, because that would mean he's a zombie or something:eek:!! Sadly, Pat Roach(The mechanic, and he also played the big sherpa in the bar scene as well as the big Thuggie guard in Temple of Doom) died in 2004 of throat cancer:(.
