What does my two year old eat if the rest of us are on the DDP?

Since the kids dining plan is just for kids 3-9, does my two year old just get to pick off the rest of our plates? It kind of irritates me that I can't purchase a dining plan for her. I don't know how big the kid's portions are, but I am worried that my other two will want to eat all their food and all that will be left is adult food. My two year old is very picky and mainly eats chicken nuggets, maccaroni, grilled cheese etc. I guess I could always just purchase an additional kids item, but then how does that work with the dining plan? Thanks!

You can let her eat off others' plates or order a kid's meal and pay OOP at Table Service restaurants. At Buffet or AYCE family-style restaurants she gets a plate and there's no extra charge for her meal. Over all you're likely better off not paying for DDP for her unless you only go to restaurants and order separate meals for her.

EDIT: And ignore Connor, we all do!

Buffets are easy to deal with because you can take as much as needed and the kids can share. I don't know how big of an eater your other two kids are, but if everybody gives the 2 y/o a little bit then you might get by.

You can purchase another child's meal if you want and pay cash, that is always an option at any restaurant you visit (adults can purchase meals and save their credits also).

Thanks - it does sound like the buffets are our best bet then. If not then I guess we can always order an extra or two here and there.

Try to do alot of buffets or family style meals. They get their own plate. If not they can share with someone or you can order and pay out-of-pocket for the meal.

They're fairly big. Adult portions are huge, so there's plenty of food overall, but I admit that won't help much if your kids will only eat kids' food. If you need to buy additional kids' items, depending on the price you might want to ask the CMs if it can be charged as a snack item on your dining plan.

I can almost guarantee that your 2 year old will be just fine. We took our son last spring and he was two. All the restaurants brought him his own choice of drink in a kid cup. Some of them allowed him to choose a free kids meal. Honestly there was NEVER a time that I had to worry about what he would eat. We always had way too much food for the 3 of us. In fact, there were times the 3 of us were able to share 1 counter service meal for lunch. I believe Garden Grill at Epcot gave him a free kids meal and kids dessert. They really go above and beyond. You shouldn't have to spend anything extra for his food.

I have never had a problem trying to feed any of my children at Disney. Don't worry about anything, it will be great!

If you're on the DP there will be plenty of food! Don't forget, it includes starter, main course, and dessert, and we could never eat all that! Also, the buffet is a great idea.

Although, if you want to, I'm sure Disney would let you purchase the children's DP for your 2 year old. Perhaps it is worth calling to ask.
