What do you think!?!

I'll give you a little history! We've been to WDW 9 times within the last 4 1/2 years. Last year we went to WDW 3 times alone with a 5 night double dip on the Dream. We originally booked an Eastern Caribbean for next week, but postponed it because we got a puppy and didn't feel comfortable leaving her so soon. We really like our bigger trip (cruise) to be in the spring and our smaller trip (WDW) to be in the fall/winter. So here's my question, would you OBB for April 2014 while on a cruise Nov 2013? It's basically 4 months in between cruises and my husband thinks we're just repeating the vacation even though Nov is Western on "new" Magic and April is Eastern on Fantasy. I really don't want to wait a year and a half between cruises like I had to this time. I'd love to do Grand Slam with an Alaskan cruise in 2015 for our 15 year anniversary (or even better and Adventures By Disney to England/France). OR we could just do WDW in April and the Eastern cruise in October. What do you think!?!

Definitely book it while onboard. Even if you change the date later, or even cancel completely, at least you have the 10% discount and the onboard credit. Then you have a couple months to decide what to do with the booking.

Eastern and Western are different cruises. Fantasy and Magic are different ships (although they won't be as different as they are now). You will definitely have a different cruise experience. But if you want something altogether different from a cruise, Adventures by Disney is a great choice as well. My sister went to Egypt with ABD and I think will never travel with anybody else from now on.

Oh, we've made that same mistake of not booking onboard. I'm worried that we won't be able to get a good stateroom if we wait that long, but at least we'll be on the ship, right!?! Thanks for your feedback!

So what are your thoughts about cruising in October? It's about $1000 cheaper than Spring Break, but I'm not sure if it's really worth the hurricane risk. It's either book for 4/5/14 or 10/18/14. I'm sure it's been answered many times and I know we'll have a blast either way, just wondering what you guys think!

Normally October is pretty safe for hurricanes, but this past year proved that wrong!

I don't mind taking the chance when we can save that much. We've been out in September with two hurricanes and a tropical storm about. The captain did an excellent job of avoiding them. We had a wonderful cruise!

Plus I like the warmer water at Castaway Cay. :)
