More people would come!

It goes back to the saying for those that build roads/highways - "building roads doesn't reduce traffic - in fact, it can make it worse"

If you build it...they will come.

I get your point that no its not that they are staffing less but rather that more people are coming.
However I do think that considering the 20k more than 25 years ago they should be hiring more people instead of sticking with the same number of CM's as 25 years ago.
And if they had more staff they could rangle the crowds easier.
Like at Space Mountain I wouldn't see so many people cutting in line because there would be a CM to actually speak to to say its happening and they could send them packing. Right now CM's are spread thin and are not in as many places through the lines as they used to be.

Oh me too, absolutely but I think unfortunately Disney is a product of their success. More people are going.
It's a shame they are not responding well 😔

That depends on what they build and how they build it.

The theater they proposed for the MK would have been a perfect addition, because it would have had a very high capacity without necessarily attracting more people than it accommodates. But that reason alone might be why it was canned. Disney wants more people coming than the attraction can handle. So they choose attractions that will do that. Regardless of what it does to the guest experience.

Very poor word choice....... 'complimentary' implies receiving something of value without paying for it.

Disney, in their own advertising, calls the use of Disney Transport as complimentary for Disney hotel guests. EMH as complimentary. I think that’s an important use of poor word choice on their behalf, don’t you?

FastPass is offered purely at Disney’s discretion. They can take it away whenever they want. I don’t know about you, but if I’m paying for a perk that now comes and goes (see RoTR, and those mumblings about GOTG), I‘m still paying the same price of admission as before.

Disney Transport as complimentary for Disney hotel guests. EMH as complimentary.

More or less every guest would see value in the Transport system and Early Entry (even if they don't use them)......thus, Disney is on safe ground calling those 'complimentary'.

FP is a controversial feature.......there is no general consensus as to it having an inherent worth/benefit. Many love it, many dislike it and still many just accept it without seeing any benefit nor detraction.

Calling FP 'complimentary' (whether by Disney or any poster) fully implies that the FP is valuable when it is completely debatable if it even has value or not.

I'm not following you here. Please elaborate.
Guests staying in Club-level have the option to buy 3 additional FP+s per person per day for a minimum of 3 days during their stay. They pay $50 p/p/d for the privilege and get to reserve them 90 days out.

I've been going nearly every year and some years multiple times since the 80's and I can tell ya we waited in line for attractions that were not headliners.
Of course you did. No one is saying before fastpass everything was a walk on. My first trip was I believe late 70s, but I really don't remember anything until the 80s. What I do remember from that time, was wait times for things like pirates were significantly less. And now with rides like pirates having fastpass, it is even worse.

Actually the poster I quoted basically said most were walk ons and you only waited for headliners and that was only if you arrived later in the day...

You would see the return of the Morning Marathons, as large groups of people would immediately run (or power walk) to the most popular attraction at rope drop.
That's what people did to get fastpasses at DHS about 12 years ago. Like up at rope drop, when park opens, run to Toy Story then to Tower then to Coaster to get fast passes first thing. Great cardio workout and sweat especially in the heat of the summer.

Maybe they could build more rides to handle the capacity of people they let through the gates...if there were no fastpass system and wait times were 90 min+, that would be a sign there aren’t enough things for guests to do
That’s the beauty of FastPass. Disney has driven attractions per guest per hour way down but people gush because they “skipped” a few lines.
