What do you think about the 7DMT?

The theme and execution is awesome from start to finish, it is friendly for the kiddies, but it is very short/tame. I can't help but wonder what the designers of Hagrids would have done with that theme. For me Hagrids is the gold standard of themed coasters in Orlando. 7DMT could have been so much more.
I am sure there would have been an inversion, caused by the mine trains rocking all the way over. Heigh Hoooooooooooooooo!!!
Hagrid's is great, but they definitely could have done a better job on the Animatronics.

Forget Hagrids....just imagine how awesome 7DMT could have been had it been designed by the Big Thunder team.

This is one of those situations where Disney is darned if they do, darned if they don't.

Had they kept the former Snow White dark ride, Fantasyland would be accused of having too many Book Report type rides that take you through the story, such as Pan, Mermaid, and Pooh.

If Disney does something different like with the mine train, and focuses on just one scene, it's accused of not being fulfilling enough for a ride.

Personally I think it's an okay ride that adds variety to the land. If I were younger and in the target age group for the ride, I'd probably love it.

My four year old loves it…but it’s another example of an elaborate queue and enhanced theming, all for a two minute ride.

But perhaps we are be “lucky” to have it, being that Imagineering wasn’t even originally going to put a ride in new fantasyland.

I think the elaborate queue is a good thing for this ride, given the length of the lines for the attraction. Yes, it would be great if the
ride was longer, but if it was the lines would also be longer. It is a fun little ride that a lot of people seem determined to ride, even
if they pay extra to do it.

I think there's only so much you can do with a coaster as long as there's a ceiling on the thrill factor. 7DMT gets about 80% there. I guess it's OK if you view it as some sort of low thrill coaster hybrid that younger kids can embrace.

The missed 20% is what makes myself and others scratch our heads when we see the long wait times. I mean, it's fine..

Personally for me, it was one ride that I never understood the wait for. I guess for small kids it's more entertaining, but I remember waiting a ridiculous amount of time to ride it and the ride being so short and just not that great.

The mine section is cool, but I just think it feels so underwhelming. I do miss scary adventures more, but I guess it's better than having nothing.
It is a coaster than anyone can ride. Kids like it, and people with coaster issues don't have a problem with it. It's fun, but it is entirely too short to invest more than 30 minutes in line. Our kids love it, so it's always a "must do," but I can tell you sometimes we "don't do," because I am not waiting an hour for it.

It's fun - I love the show scenes - but it's really short. It's a great addition to Fantasyland but the lines are way too long. Obviously it's "newer" and semi-thrilling but it's not worth the wait.

7DMT is a high quality attraction. It uses the very latest tech in the ride system and the dark scene.

My only gripe is they plopped it right in the middle of the new land. I would like to see if off to the side; the entry of the ride being in the side of a mountain.

Having said that, where it is now, does show it off; attracting riders.

I’ll clean this up with truth serum for you:

It’s a C ticket…hell…I’d even go D cause it’s a coaster.

It has a cool AA room…and the terrain integration is good. Beyond that it’s a fairly standard issue vekoma Junior coaster.

Not bad…not “latest technology”…partly due to it being 10 years old.

We rode it when it first opened; have been back multiple times over the years and didn't even consider riding it again...same with Slinky Dog...great for young kids.

Granted, it's no Moana Journey of Water, but I would not call it a D either ;)

Even 7DMT (which I see you hate) is gotta be better than some stupid, silly, waste of space, walk through, glorified splash pad that will be Moana.

But let's agree to disagree ;)
I’m not disagreeing with that…

But as consistent with the truth…mine train is not something special.

They hadn’t opened anything since 1992 prior - other than a spinner and the buzz replacement - when the attendance had risen 40%

40…conservative.

Lines in underinvested parks does NOT equal “innovation”

I give up.
Your truth based opinion noted. ;)
I am looking forward to your critique of Moana in three years when its done.
