What do you think about the 7DMT?

It’s a middling family coaster…which is fine. It’s located the second most crowded amusement park in the worlds richest country that hasn’t added really any capacity in going on 30 years…

…so there’s your wait
Okay, I will agree to that in part. Disney World needs many more attractions for the business they are doing now. Disney World had about the same attraction in the 70's as it does now. Hmmmm how did Disney manage to make enough money back in the 70's?

Annual attendance is 4x what it was then…simply the organic growth of travel. They really didn’t “cause it” in some weirdo supply and demand experiment as the Iger defenders will try to say…

The video faces are not good, especially when they malfunction. Under current WDW, I'll skip it over paying for ILL. In the past, I was willing to FP it, (most often only if I happened to get it was a 4th+ FP), but I'm not waiting an hour or paying $12+ to ride it.

I like that they themed to whole attraction. It has that going for it. I also think it is a little funny, we have seen multiple real animals in the set/themed area surrounding the ride. Before it opened, I saw a real owl perched in one of the trees! and numerous cats.
It would have been better if it had been longer.

There are also like 120 million more people in the US now than there were when the Magic Kingdom opened (along with population growth in other places that send guests to WDW).

I think you were including that in your organic growth of travel, but just pointing it out to be clear.

My point is trends and volume were a given…as was the wise move to plan and execute for it

Taxes.

I think the original financial goal was breaking even back or turning a modest profit back then. Pepperidge Farm remembers when corporate and individual tax brackets were seriously high for top earners before the Reagan years. Corporations used to put more money into labor and investment because large profits were given back to the government. Now corporations want to keep as much as possible and cry poor while making truckloads instead of boatloads of cash.

Sorry - on topic, i agree that 20 mins is an adequate wait for the ride. love the theming but it's not a priority ride for me and my family.

My family uses the ride as a chance to outdo one another on the associated ride video. After many trips, we know that you have to speed up your actions in real time so that they make sense in the slo-mo version.

I like but won’t wait for it. We will use our DAS pass for it and then ride something elseZ Really like it better than Slinky—there’s an attraction I don’t get.

Oh it's definitely better than Slinky -- it at least has show scenes. You essentially can ride Slinky in tons of places all over the USA, just without sitting in a Slinky Dog ride vehicle.

I rode it with fastpass, but I don't know if I'd wait too long to ride it again. Probably, since I go to WDW so seldomly. My favorite part is the inside, since that's more like a dark ride. The "thrill" aspect is definitely secondary for me.
It is a good coaster for the kids who can't ride the bigger coasters like Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain, which are already pretty tame by today's coaster standards.

one of our favs... a must do every trip. yes, you can nit pick a lot about it... short, cut back from the original design, etc., but the theming is perfect for fantasyland and just enough thrill to be fun even for adults.

I enjoy the ride quite a bit, but would never wait more than 20-30 min for it. It’s a very well done ride for what it is, Albeit a bit too short.

I think the only “controversy” over this ride is the amount of hype surrounding it, vs what it actually is.

I consider it to the PPF of rollercoasters. Not the absolute best in class, but done well and family friendly.
This pretty much sums up my opinion. 20 minutes max wait for me.

My 9 year old has always been terrified of rollercoasters but we have been getting him past that slowly but surely. In August, he finally went on BTMR and LOVED it (went on it 8 times during the rest of the trip!) so we finally got him to go on 7DMT and he was like... that's it? That's what I was so scared of? It's so boring! And he didn't want to go on it again.

I like that it's a smooth ride, my old bones appreciate that, but otherwise, meh.
