What do you miss?

I, too, miss Mr. Toad. And you all correct me if I'm wrong, but, didn't WDW have the canoes at one time also. I've never been to Disneyland but I could swear I paddled in the canoes the second time I went to WDW back in the 80s. I miss the actual stuff going on at the backlot of The Studios. The backlot tour and the animation tour were actually worth something.

I don't remember a time when they didn't empty out in a souvenir store. Must have been before 1983.

I miss:
1. Country Bear Jamboree at Christmas
2. the boats you could pay to drive at the entrance to Jungle Cruise
3. the OLD Crystal Palace cafeteria
4. the OLD Chef Mickeys at Disney Village, especially at Christmas as the characters wore their Christmas outfits
5. resort specific mugs
6. the OLD thin onion rings at 50s PrimeTime
7. Residential Street at DHS with the corner church that looked like a big city or small town church depending on what side you were facing
8. the Tapestry of Nations parade with the music that was so intense piped throughout the countries area
9. The lights of Winter arches at Epcot (I know there is a real name for it but I cant remember it)
10. the policeman on a motorcycle that was hiding behind a sign in the World of Motion
11. Riding a double decker bus around the World Showcase
12. Who wants To Be a Millionaire game
13. Year of a Million Dreams - it was so fun to hope for a surprise!
14. I miss the Keelboats at MK

Most of all, I miss the feeling I have when I am at WDW that I cannot capture anywhere else on Earth. Things have come, things have gone...but there is nowhere better to love your family and feel that joy and peace...Life is good friends!!

I'm going to say I miss the old living sea the most. I have always been fascinated with marine biology and undersea exploration since I was a kid. I loved the Hydrolators and sea-base alpha, it just gave me a feeling of wonder and adventure as a kid. While I don't mind the Nemo overlay for the fact that it has kids interested in the pavilion again (and thats awesome). I just feel a bit sad when I think of the awesome things they could have done to update sea-base alpha to make it more modern instead of going with the obvious tie in.

Lets see,

Discovery Island
Skyway
Good coffee
MGM studios contributing to the classics. Memory fails on which movie but I remember in the early 90's watching cell painting during a studio tour. Had to be Aladdin or Lion King ?

Hmm...this is tough just because I'm only 18 and don't remember some of the "older" stuff. I barely remember Dream Finder, Mr. Toad...

I do miss Food Rocks. I used to love that show. Soarin' is fine, but Food Rocks...

The Viking Ship. That used to be so much fun. Now it's just a garden.:( My dad and I used to do the seesaw all of the time when I was little.

The spinning rocks on Tom Sawyer's island.

Wonders of Life. They closed it when I finally big enough to use the cool toys:mad:

and most of all...

Old Test Track. But we won't start on how much I hate the new one here...it will turn into a rant, and some of you love the new one I know.
