Sorry posted this in photography section but this area is much busier
What do you do with you camera bag on the rides? I sure don't want it to get wet and its too bulky I would imagine for some of the safety restraints.
What do you all do? Thanks !!

I'm not much help.

I have a Canon S95 that fits in a purse. I have always been able to take that purse onto rides. On RnRC, I put my leg through the strap for some extra protection.

I have brought my camera bag (fairly large) on ever single ride at WDW. On wilder rides like roller coasters, I put the bag on the floor and put my leg through one of the straps. However, it has never come close to falling out. You would be surprised with how much "room" you have for you bag once you have it. About it not getting wet, you don't have to worry about Splash, but KRR I would not suggest bringing it on there. Happy Shooting!

What size camera/case do you have?
I usually have my SLR camera bag in the bottom of my backpack. But when I have carried my bag seperate I found one that has an attached rain cover that unzips on the front pocket. I've never really had a problem on the rides with it, sometimes putting it over my head and arm for more protection. I probably wouldn't chance it on Kali though, maybe a good ziplock bag? Take lots of pictures!

We have the backpack style bag for our SLR and like the previous posters have taken it on all the rides just like they have with our leg thru the strap. I have heard a few moms bring a clear trash bag and put there bags in to it before riding on the rapids ride. I don't like to be wet so I never ride this ride.

Thanks everyone, I have a fairly big sling bag type for my new DSL camera and I'm nervous about ruining it or losing it or not fitting into a seat because of it.... can you tell this is my first time going to Disney? :ROFLOL:

I use a fairly large messenger bag in the parks. Its big enough for my dSLR body, 3 lenses, flash, 2 rain jackets, guide book, snacks and more. Its a tight cram in the seats on SM, but everything else is fine. If it doesn't fit in whatever pouch gets provided, just stick your legs through the strap and its fine. Nothing at the park is wild enough to have you lose your bag. Soarin they will make you leave it on the floor and then they move it to a clear location.

I take mine on every ride I go on. I have a backpack that I put on the floor and the straps on my legs to hold it in place if necessary. I do not have the quality of many people here. Between the camera, lens, and camcorder, I have about $2.5k in gear in it. As for water rides, I have a plastic bag to go over it. If I am afraid of it getting really wet, I have a waterproof back the it will go in.
