What do you do at wdw when there's storms?

No
Get wet. ;)

We put on ponchos and carry on. If we didn't bring our ponchos, I'll go into a shop to get a plastic bag and wrap it around my pack so our tickets, phones and money don't get soaked. Then we just carry on.

As my mother told me many times when I was young... "You were born wet, you will no doubt get wet again."

When it rains is sure quiets down the parks. We stay. I know many of the shortcuts thru buildings and places to get out of the real downpours which always go away in just a few minutes.
A rainy part equals a slow park. Bad for Disney, Good for me :)

We always have our ponchos with us and troop it out. Another great way to spend the day if its just raining is at a water park. We did this a few years ago and had a blast. You're already wet, so make it fun in the rain.

I learned this during my first visit to Disney World in October: don't wear a raincoat during a Florida rainy day. The things drip and cling to you, and if you step inside an attraction or a ride, you have to carry that wet dripping thing with you, which sucks. So I carry a portable umbrella. I whip it out when the rains come, then close it and put it in my backpack when the rains subside. Much more efficient and less messy.

I'm with you. I typically prefer using an umbrella. Although there is something about joining the poncho brigade in the parks. ;)

I think Ponchos should be mandatory WDW. During our June vacation, it rained four days steady and there were several times an umbrella nearly took me out! People stop, turn and wave their LARGE golf umbrella...hey you're not golfing...put on a Poncho

Me, I continue onto the rides, my wife on the other hand doesn't like to get wet (she's in a motorized wheelchair so if she & the chair gets wet she stays wet ) so she heads for the shops to find various thing to spend money on. We meet up later and she tells me what the damage is. Boy I hate those rainy days.:(

I usually wander aimlessly around a shop or go somewhere with food and drinks. Stare as people with ponchos tough out the monsoon outside. I remember last year it started to downpour like no ones business so me and my cousins got in line for Pirates. Walked out 20 minutes later and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky.

When it was just rain we would grab an umbrella and make our way through Future World and some of WS. We wasted a lot of time sitting inside Mexico pretending what a beautiful and clear night it was. Although we wish it were warmer, the weather felt like we were sitting in an air conditioned room.

We use ponchos and keep going, I've got to say they do a great job keeping your body dry. I actually feel good wearing the poncho all cosy and safe. I imagine it stems back from being in a push chair as a child with the transparent sheet keeping the rain off me? My only complaint is my feet getting soaked and squwelching in my trainers which I don't like.

Yeah I've never let rain dampen the day, especially at MK or EC. In MK it's always a good idea to hang around Fantasyland and get Peter Pan/Winnie the Pooh/etc out of the way as the crowd thins out. In EC you can bounce around Future World fairly easily without getting too wet.
AK and DHS are a little harder to handle if it's an all day rain since a lot of that stuff tends to be more spread out.
