You're kidding. I was joking, but I'm surprised Disney would bring that up, considering people label it as racist. Then again, what isn't racist nowadays?
Since Remus was seen in the 70's, this was before Disney refused to bring up the film since Splash Mountain was new.

It wasn't and isn't racist. He was an actor, in a movie. An amazing movie and the only thing accomplished was people have no idea who this man was by removing it. I do, because I am old enough to have seen it at school, (42) and I own it on dvd, my grown children also know it well. Shame, how many people ride that ride and do not know the movie. Jus sayin' :-/

I know it isn't racist. But many consider it to be. I've read the Uncle Remus books, and I have seen clips from Song of The South and never found anything racist.

Amazing movie, amazing Low Country/South tales. I have all the books and stories too, hate Uncle Remus was omitted from the ride, he is what made it awesome. How many people, actually, without googling it know his name? That is what stinks. IMO. He should be remebered for that yet, no one knows him, that is racist to me. :-/ He should be remembered for his role. :)

Sorcerer Mickey is around but not visible.

Sorcerer Mickey is avaiable for meets. We met him a few years ago when he was in the Animation building. According to Kenny the Pirate he meets in the morning by Studio Catering Co now, and he's always updating his info so I'd trust that. He's totally worth waiting a few minutes to meet IMO because he's pretty special.

Oh, Pete should definitely be a meetable character. Between him being the oldest Disney character still in use on a regular basis and his role on the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (he's quite possibly my favorite character), he really should be meeting guests.

Also, bit of a throwback, but it'd be neat to have Davy Crockett meeting guests in Frontierland.
