What did you not know then, but you know now (and you feel embarrassed)?

It was a fun little ride with a theme song as catchy and mind implanting as Small World. I have to admit that I like the song better then Small World. The only thing I could think of when I first saw it was it's a Mexican, Mexican World. The Caballeros ride is OK, but, nothing that makes me say Good Job on the change. The show is and has been a living example of the extensive use of screens that Disney used in the early 80's. It's not a new thing.
Yes, most of the ride's screens have always been there. Small World meets If You Had Wings - one of my other little favourites. ^_^

I didn't know you could book a 5th, 6th, 7th etc Fast Pass. Everything I read seemed to say something along the lines of "if you use up your three fastpasses you can book a fourth!" So we always just had four and thought we couldn't book any more than that. Mind blown when I found out. Didn't end up being all that great though since all the good rides are unavailable by then.

On a side note - Maybe it's because I'm Canadian but we hated the American Adventure. Walked out a bit early. It just felt like we were being bombarded with American pride propaganda.
Yeah, kinda like when we have to stand for "Oh Canada" at a hockey game played in the US...

The American Adventure is unmitigated brilliance, one of the most touching and uplifting shows on property.

Personally I think that anybody who doesn't appreciate it should be escorted to the border and their country bombed just because.

Mexico has had its awesome boat ride since 1982. El Rio del Tiempo. 2007 is when they installed some tv's with Caballeros YouTube clips on the ride.

I think I would prefer it WITHOUT the cartoons.

If you think that's bad, the Canadian Pavilion did nothing but talk about how great Canada is. They didn't even mention how fortunate they are to be sharing a border with the USA.

If you stayed a little longer you might have seen some of the not so wonderful aspects as well.

lol I hope your first comment was a joke but I really can't tell .

As for the second one, I believe I stayed almost to the very end but walked out during the kinda sappy song near the end because at that point I wanted to go.

Don't stand then? I get that they ask you to but If you don't want to then don't do it and no one is going to care. However, I don't think that standing for another country's national anthem is all that bad.

Why would it be a joke? You said that the American Pavilion was all about a boastful America. Yet, all of the Canadian one is sugary in equal degrees. Is that double standard or just disdain for the US. To be honest is was sort of a joke... sarcasm to be exact. No one is forced to go to either, so I don't really care if you go to it or not. Should the American Pavilion be about Pakistan or perhaps Russia? Just wanted to show that there is a pot and a kettle involved here.

"They didn't even mention how fortunate they are to be sharing a border with the USA." This is what I thought was a joke because it sounds ridiculous.

And no, obviously the american adventure should be about america, i never once said it shouldn't. Again, it just wasn't my cup of tea as i said before. If everyone else loves it then that's great. I merely stated an opinion.

Also, I didn't find the movie in the Canadian Pavilion to be all that great either. Both are guilty of leaving out some of the grittier details, but hey it's Disney. It makes sense.

I really don't want to argue with anyone about this, I never wanted to someone brought up their opinion of the american adventure and I stated my own.

I never knew the fur characters could make any sort of sound, I've only heard about and I assumed they didn't speak or make noise. But that changed in December 2016 during MVMCP, when I heard Judy Hopps from Zootopia gave me a kiss (I heard her make a kissing sound). Felt embarrassed for the rest of the night after the meet!

Growing up on the west coast I thought Magic Kingdom was DisneyWorld with Epcot, HS and AKL being their own parks nearby. Didn't discover that Magic Kingdom was called Magic Kingdom and the property itself (resorts, parks and all) was all WDW until planning my first WDW visit.

I also thought MK and DL would be totally different. Nope! When I discovered almost all the rides were the same I was so excited about riding the Matterhorn at MK. Nope! :joyfull:

For future reference I'm pretty sure the park maps have a list of the rides and where they are in the park, in case some of you are still not aware there's a ride in such and such place.

As for me, I had no idea the Boardwalk existed until a couple years ago. I don't know how long it's been there, but I'd never heard of it or seen it referenced anywhere until I was planning my last trip. And I've still never been. I'm not totally convinced I want to go though, seems like a way less interesting Downtown Disney... er, Disney Springs or whatever it is and maybe not worth the walking unless you're staying in one of the resorts back there?

5 min walk from the international gateway at Epcot. Well worth a stroll round and get a bit of lunch from one of the carts/windows. One of my favourite parts of WDW!

Yeah, it's a nice pleasant jaunt. After leaving DHS one evening, I took the boat to Swan & Dolphin, then walked along the Boardwalk to Epcot to catch Illuminations. Very nice.

OK, I can accept that the intent was not to belittle the American Pavilion, but, it was worded in such a way that led me to believe that you were upset because it was so pro-american. And it took me by surprise, what else would an American Pavilion be about. My sarcastic part was about how the Canadian one is all about Canada (a pavilion that I have always enjoyed, btw). The joke was indeed a joke about how no mention was made about how great it was to share our borders and was part of the sarcastic all about Canada remark.

I apologize for mis-reading your post. It's just that lately I'm having a hard time finding any reason to defend this country, but, the show in the American Adventure is, in my mind, balanced and even though a Disneyfied version of our history, did manage to be critical of some of our more obvious shortcomings.

I really appreciate your comment. I definitely wasn't upset about it being so pro-american, and I didn't think it would include anything international of course, but we don't have any song similar to America the Beautiful, just our anthem. So hearing it was very strange to me. BUT i 100% understand why the show would be well-loved by Americans.

Maybe this commercial could be included in our movie one day?
