What day of the week is best for MK.

Not Helpful!

I guess this is one of the reasons this site has minimal users. If you expect me to use a forum to be re directed to a site to buy something you have lost the idea of what a forum is for.

Just trying to be helpful. No reason to bite my head off!

If you think this site has minimal users, I suggest you check out the stats of this site.

One more thing...

Whatever happened to graciousness.

It would have been just as easy to say that "this is not the information I'm looking for, but thanks anyway".

It depends on how you're defining "best," joejoed. If you mean "what day of the week usually has the smallest waits" then it's probably Tuesday[1] for the Magic Kingdom. Disney, however, has been known lately to schedule Extra Magic Hours there that day of the week, undoubtedly to boost attendence in that park on that day.

Thus, the answer for you and your family then depends on *which* Tuesday between June and September you plan to visit. It also depends on whether you're a Disney resort guest and, if so, can take advantage of morning Extra Magic Hours.

Hope this helps.

Len

[1] How do I know all this? We hired people to count crowds in the parks and resorts for a few weeks earlier this year.

Thanks!

Thanks Len,
This does help. I am not a Disney 'guest' as I'm staying off site, but really just looking for shortest wait. I realize Summer and holidays are the worst times to go, but with kids . . . you know the drill.

Thanks again!

The Unofficial Guide is by far the best Disney guide book, in alot of peoples opinions. Their touringplans website can be extremely helpful in planning your vacation, specifically in answering questions like the one you posted. I am sure unkadug assumed you might have already had the book, or that you might be willing to buy it since it is so helpful. Plus, you can view the crowd calendar for the next month, for free. You only need info from the book to view past then, so you can partly answer your question since you can see June for free. I was very thankful when I found out about the touringplans website. I went out and bought the book that night, and used it to pick the dates for my next trip, and to answer countless other questions. It is a great investment....if you are going to spend hundreds (or thousands) of dollars on a Disney vacation, then a $18.99 book that can help so much is worth it, in my opinion.

As you can see by the comments you got after the one you posted, quoted above, we may not be the site with the most users BUT we are a site with polite users.

When there is extra magic hours, do not go! Just show up for the parades at night. Thursday was amazingly crowded last month. There were even two Spectromagic parades - that should give you a hint. ;)

Totally agree with this answer, this book has been our sort of WDW bible if you will. I've read some of the other books that are available, but they seem to be too nice and have no negativity in them, whereas, TUG seems to tell the truth. In fact it's the book that got me to this web site. And a number of others.

I have to disagree! We went to MK last week when they had PM extra magic hours, and it was the best day of our trip!!! Not very crowded at all. In the 3 EMH's, we rode more rides than we did the whole day, and we did A LOT that day!! We walked right onto everything past 10:30 pm!

Exactly! "Past 10:30PM"... But during the day, that´s another story... My advice was to do another park during the day and come back for the night. ;) I did the same thing last month.
