Love those Pics

I love those Pics of the Delta Jetliners. Back in Agust 2005 I took a 5 day trip to St. Louis, I flew on a Sowthwest Airlines Boeing 737-700. This jet is State of the Art . I love the winglets on the 737-700. I also flew the Classic 737-300. I will miss another classic Jetliner, The Boeing 727.

oh, and FYI, the Boeing 717 is literally a post merger DC-9. There is no mechanical difference between the two.

I like the A320's that JETBLUE uses, but find myself mostly on Southwest's 737s.

ANY newer plane seems to be more comfortable than ANY older plane to me, but I understand that for some.....SIZE STILL MATTERS!

Here is my favorite jetBlue jet...There is just something about that ERJ style that I love.

jetBlue ERJ-190 (Blue 4 U)

American uses those for their Eagle flights in California as well. Gotta love those Embraers

One that does not have my knees jammed against the back of the seat in front.

And I'll not bother with Delta if I have an option. They messed up big time on my last trip leaving me stranded in New York having missed my London flight and there was nobody from Delta willing to help. There were a lot of people in the same boat and all the customer relations counters were deserted.

Hey Rob, What type of equipment do you have coming up for your Cali trip?
AA 737-800 exit row for 3/4 segments. I'm hoping for some F upgrades to clear. On the outbound, it may not happen.. but I don't think it's gonna happen on the return :)

On my regular MCO-SJU hops, I've learned something. Hell is an AA A300-600 (AB6) in tourist configuration... especially when SJU is involved, since on that routing I am at less than a 1% success rate on upgrades. It makes me miss the 727's that used to be common on that route. The one time I saw a 767, I nearly flipped out (for joy)

Sitting anywhere in the back cabin in those birds is tantamount to flying with the same South American tour groups that frequent WDW. And legroom is the space your legs take up... no the same between seats.

There's a bumper sticker that sums up how I feel.

If it's not a Boeing, I'm not going.

I am genuinely curious about the A380 though

Why ?

The A340 has a 100% saftey record and also offers the best in-flight entertainment system of any commercial jet-airliner.

If I had too pick one it would be between the A340 and B-777, the A340 has better in flight entertainment, both have 100% safety records, B-777 is more economical with 2 engines instead of 4.

I don't like the MD series. Us nonrevs always get the seats chopped in half if the blades in the engines are unbalanced, and there is no in flight radio or entertainment.
I like the 737 and the new boeing planes look exciting. I hate airbus planes, I can't wait for the a380 to flop.

The A340 does not have a 100% safety record :)

Air France Flight 358, August 2, 2005. It overshot the runway at YYZ and slid into Etobicoke Creek. 43 injuries, the most serious were due to malfunctioning door slides that cause people to jump more than 20 feet down.

There are also documented landing gear issues, with major incidents in LHR, BRU, and PVG.

Now, lets see the Boeing 777.

The only incident to have even cause an insurance claim was a refueling fire in DEN on BA 777 G-VIIK, And the hull wasn't written off. The plane was fixed and was put back in service with British Airways

The A330 was my favourite until recently. It feels so much more spacious inside compared to the equivalent 767 and 747.

However last November we flew back from NY on a 777. Now that is a really spacious aircraft, even the toilets at the rear are huge.

Once I miss was the MD11. I flew one from MCO-JFK about 15 years ago, and I remember the row of like 6 lavs across the back. That was a true widebody jet.

So anyway, AA just changed equipment on the 4th segment to a ex-TWA 757, which I've never flown. Time to check seatguru.com

I agree.
I think the A380 is going to flop though. Airbus's brilliant idea of having facotries from all over the world make the parts didn't work out so well when they have to block off a street in a small european city all day to get one piece of the hull through....
