If all goes according to plan, these are the jets I will be flying on during my next trip.

#1.) MD-80 SRQ-ATL
#2.) 757-200 ATL-SFO
#3.) 767-300 LAX-ATL
#4.) ERJ-170 ATL-SRQ

I like the ERJ, but I like the CRJ's better. They have a pretty good safety record too, from what I understand the only crashes so far have been the one in kentucky, one slid off the runway due to ice, and one where the pilots were the only ones on and decided to try and go above 50,000 feet and they burned the engines out....

I banged my head on the ceiling of a COEX ERJ145 getting up and I am by no means tall. I liked the single seating and overall thought it was a comfortable plane. Then again it was only EWR to IAD, so not a very long flight at all. I am not sure how I would feel on a longer flight.

My longest RJ flight was on one of the old Independence Air (sheds tear) Bombardier Canadair CRJ-200's going from MCO-IAD. To be honest, I had no problems with it... in fact, the flight time seemed shorter than any other time I've flown that route. I seemed like less than an hour.

I don't like the MD series. Us nonrevs always get the seats chopped in half if the blades in the engines are unbalanced, and there is no in flight radio or entertainment.
I like the 737 and the new boeing planes look exciting. I hate airbus planes, I can't wait for the a380 to flop.
I will be flying on the MD80 for the first time and I am wondering how is the seating are they tight? And there is no television screens on the seats? How am I going to get through the 3 hour flight?

You'll get through it like the pre Jetblue days. Suck it up. :)

The MD's suck though... they're called Mad Dogs for a reason. At least they're reliable

The MD80 has 5 across seating (2 and 3). I think the seats are slightly more narrow then the normal 737/757 seat. I haven't been on a MD80 in a long time, but I don't remember liking them. The engines are mounted on the rear, so the rear rows are going to be noisier.

On Delta, no Tv. I only fly delta but I assume no other airlines have TVs in them to. Seats are a little small, not horrible though. Try not to get the row of seats directly next to the engines. They put us non-revs there for a reason......

We usually fly on a Boeing 747, I don't think I've flown on anything alse.
If memory serves, you usually fly Virgin Atlantic - they also have Airbuses in their fleet.

I just had a flash back to the eighties when I had three trips on DC10s with stops to refuel in Maine or Newfoundland. I thought it was because the DC10 did not have the range, but I've since been told it was so they could buy fuel more cheaply than filling it up in the UK.

Bingo Joe :) The DC-10-30 has a range of 6220 miles... I remember back when I was little we flew one on the Saturday nonstop from LAX-SJU and the flight attendant mentioning that AA used these on transpacific routes.

They stopped to top off for cheaper.

Virgin flies 747's and Airbuses to MCO :)

BA typically uses 767's and 777's to MCO.. but they've used 747's before.

So, last night at MCO, I had to drop off a friend. I looked out of my window, and I saw 4 Virgin Jets parked for the night, 2 BA, and an oddball Lufthansa Jet. Add the cold miserable weather last night, and it felt like I was in London
