What camera?

I was looking through my old pics and found these. The one on the left is from 2011, it's a standard Canon Powershot. And the one on the right is with my Canon Rebel in 2012. I didn't realize quite the difference it made! It will definitely be coming with me again in 2014!

So, what camera is usually packed with you?

This year it will be my Canon 60D with 3 lenses (10-20mm, 50mm prime and 70-200mm L) and for days I don't feel like dragging the kit around I will have my Samsung Galaxy Camera which I am really enjoying (it's a new camera purchase for me). It does great macro and I'm looking forward to using the slow motion video which I haven't really experimented much with yet. It's a fantastic little camera, I'm having a lot of fun with it.

I also have a Canon Rebel DSLR. On one hand I'd like to upgrade to a better model...on the other hand, I sometimes get tired of lugging it around. At this point, a DSLR is best for capturing the kids in action, so I know it will be with me for at least 1 more trip and then I'll decide if it's time to upgrade...maybe to the T4i. No point in me getting much more though.

I would just like to say that I'm impressed with you guys for being able to use the big cameras. I can't seem to get the hang of it...any decent picture is a fluke.

I will be using my Olympus sz-31mr I have had it a couple weeks and so far so good. It does more than any camera I have ever seen at that price and size.

DSLRs are huge and unless I'm going to Disney world to get a bachelors in photography I would rather a point and shoot. Sure your still never going to get the raw exposure. New point and shoots like my cannon SX260 HS have wide lenses and some good optical zoom.

I'll be carrying my Canon 600D. Yes, it may be a big camera but with my 50mm and 300mm lenses I get great pics that are far superior to my little 'point and shoot' which will be wielded by my young son so he can snap pics of anything he pleases.

Another for the Canon 60D. I bring two lenses. A 18-200 and a 75-300. I bought a good backpack style case for it so we can pack a few other things with it. I will get tired of carrying that around at times so I will bring my point and shoot Sony Cyber-shot. And of course we always have our phones which have cameras in them. But as you shown the quality difference between each type of camera is pretty significant.

Canon XSi with the kit lens, nifty-fifty, fisheye, and telephoto plus two tripods. I found a Sony P&S for super cheap at Best Buy when I don't feel like lugging everything around.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.
normally taek a canon 350d with varying lenses and attachments but this year am downsizing to a fujifilm point and squirt.Like the images the canon gives but don't want to have to carry it all day or have it take up precious luggage allowance ( UK visitor ) .. the plus point to the fuji is its waterproof so no panicking on splash or during those rarely seen rainstorms ;)
