What attractions should you not worry about if you miss?

MK: Tom Sawyer Island (been to WDW 11 times and never set foot on it)

You should try it! That is what happened to us kind of. The first time we tried, we got in line for the raft, but noticed one of our Splash mountain fastpass tickets was almost up, so we went to there.

A different year we tried, we made it on the raft. Then in the middle of the water, it broke down, so we were towed back to the side we started on and decided not to try again.

Finally this past trip (our 5th trip to WDW) we actually made it to the island. It's actually really fun just to walk around. The caves are also fun. There is also probably one of the best photo spots to take a picture with the Haunted Mansion too!

If you just want to relax a bit, you should really try it and you may discover new fun that was there all along like we did.

MK:
Stitch's Great Escape
Stitch's Great Escape
Indy Speedway
Hall of Presidents
Country Bear Jamboree
Stitch's Great Escape
Mickey's Toontown
Snow White
Stitch's Great Escape
Treehouse
Under New Management

Epcot:
Journey Into Imagination (sad because the original was so nice)
Mission: Space (I don't understand why anyone would like this ride unless they were obsessed with NASA or something)
All of the WS movies (see them once for the experience)
Don't eat at Alfredo's

MGM: LMA
Backlot Tour
Indiana Jones (maybe see it once)
Sounds Dangerous (I love Drew Carey but this is still a crappy show)
Star Tours ( do it once, but I won't ride this again until version 2.0 comes out)

AK:
Hard for me to say because when I'm at AK I usually only do the things that I want to do. I love Everest, Dinosaur, Kali, Safaris, and I'm indifferent in It's Tough to be a Bug. The Nemo show is also cool. Those are the only things I ever do in AK and I have no real complaints about any of them. AK has done a nice job presenting a GREAT overall consistency level of the attractions they have. The only problem is that they don't have enough attractions yet to make it a true full day park.

Sorry for the double post, but I forgot to mention that I think you should definitely see "The festival of the Lion King" at AK I find it to be an awesome show and a good break from the scorching heat at AK

I agree! I was very surprised to see someone who thought it was something that could be missed....my family definitely considers it a must-see!

Since there were 25 years between my last two trips, and because we didn't ride some things, I think it's only fair to give examples of rides that I personally could live without NEXT time:

MK: Tree House
Winnie the Pooh
Tomorrowland Speedway (unless they refurb it with electric cars, themed with the CARS movie)
Dumbo (okay, we didn't ride it, but if you ride Magic Carpets or Triceratop Spin, you've done it.)
Cinderella's Carousel

AK: Rafiki's Planet Watch (although in its defense, my daughter really loved it and got to see an actual veterinary exam in action)
Triceratop Spin (once was enough).

EPCOT: Living with the Land
Spaceship earth......(it was okay, but am I crazy to not have LOVED it? Did I miss something?)

Of course, none of this would be my decision anyway.....if my daughter wants to ride it, we will!

I think you should see everything at least once. Then, you can make up your own mind. Example, I think the Figment ride is the worst thing in any park. However, when I stated that on a different thread, I got my head taken off. There are plenty of people that LOVE Figment (I still don't get it).

I don't think anyone would fault you for skipping the current incarnation of JII (the figment ride). It's the old version that people love. Although I wouldn't recommend skipping the current version, either.

Honestly, if you've never been before, you can't skip anything. I guarantee for every attraction in WDW, you can find at least one person in the world who would call each their favorite. Different strokes for different folks.

For instance, I could never imagine missing the Country Bear Jamboree or Carousel of Progress (if open), but others think they should definitely be skipped. Don't form your itinerary around other's opinions.

*Although threads like this can still be fun. I don't mean to take all the fun out of it.
