Crush Dude!

Back from WDW!Counting down to DLP in November!
If our next trip takes place next July we are probably going to split it
2 Weeks in pop century followed by 2 weeks at The Polynesian!!!:sohappy:

This makes it much more affordable, and as we wont be using the dining plan and we will be annual passholders by then we shouldnt have any problems in those areas!

What are your opinions on this?? Any and all replys welcome, thanx in advance :wave::wave:

Oh wow! A month in WDW? In JULY!? :dazzle:

Congrats on having the time and the means to take such a glorious holiday. Even though July is brutal for temperatures and guest levels, since you'll be there for so long it'll probably not be too much of an issue.

I know I thought I'd never say this, but a month seems a little too long to stay at WDW. Have you seen any other parts of the US. Yellowstone can be wonderfult at that time of year. I'd skip Pop all together and just stay at the Poly for 2 weeks and travel around the US for the other two. That's awesome that you can go on vacation for that long!

A whole month of Disney fun....that'll be a long trip report...lol!

Although a month would be a little too long for me (i know i know, i hear the gasp now...) but since the parks are so crowded and it's so hot in July you'll have a month to see everything and get to take your time, it'll prob be a good thing. Good call by going to Pop first and then Poly!

As stated, a month does seem like a long time. How about spliting it up into two weeks at a time. It would give you time to save some money and upgrade the second trip to a moderate or deluxe resort. That way it won't get stale. Also, you get all the fun of two trips. Planning, making ASR's, counting down the days etc.

The temperature this past july was gorgeous, 95 everyday and any shower was amax 30 mins and to be honest i dont mind the crowds, i fastpass everything i can and make great use of early mornings, this past july was the best 3 weeks ever!!!

For the past 4 yrs we have been at the World during July. The longest we have done is 10 days, the shortest is 6 days.

This yr we switched up and are going in Nov.

I know it has been metioned that the crowd levels being high and also the temps can be brutal. I also want to mention that July is one of the most rainy months.

Another reason we decided to skip July for the month to vacation in the world this yr is the Braizilian tour groups. I am not sure if you have read some of the postings on here, but the kids can make for a not so magical vacation. Especially if you are staying at one of the value resorts since that is where they mostly stay at. Others have posted how these groups run around unsupervised and very disrespectful.

If you are really set on coming in July I would recommend not staying at a value resort and also not as long ( please forgive me to my fellow Disney friends for saying that).

I do agree that 2 weeks would be plenty of time and make for an enjoyable trip.

Ok i agree with some points but half the problem is i work in retail and its hard to get much time off out of the summer, plus im only 23 so ive lotsa time to see disney during other seasons!
As far as a value resort goes, we stayed at pop this year for 3 weeks and saw no tour groups, it was a great stay!!!
We did see them in the parks but for the most part they didnt bother us!

My personal advice is to use Pop to tour AK and DHS. Then you can take full advantage of monorail at the end of your trip to do MK and EPCOT.

I don't know how many of you are going/what the car situation is/etc but personally I'd stay at the Poly for a week and then rent a villa. That way you're in total comfort, don't have to worry about other guests, get your own pool and save loads of money on food because you're not buying it from one of the more expensive places in the Orlando area AND if you want to do the parks you can without worrying about paying for parking or whatever.

Well with you getting the time off a factor of making your decision. I totally understand. I used to work in retail over 20yrs ago and I know once back to school sales started till mid Feb. no time off was allowed.

If you did not have any problems from the tour groups at the resort then you know what to expect and if you can have the resourse to go, then I say do it, but just think of maybe of seeing other areas in Fl besides the parks. I know I am a big museum person, so maybe that or even taking a say to see where the Space Shuttle launches from.

Here is another gasp from me, I love the Disney Parks and all it offers but I also love to get off the resort and see what FL is really all about.

I LOOOOOOVE Disney, but you would have to pay me to stay there for an entire month. I would go crazy with the crowds. I would have rage by the end from people irritation. If you have a month to kill, why not go to the bahammas. It is a short flight from orlando. The Atlantis resort down there is AWESOME! Great beaches, great food, gorgeous grounds, spectacular aquariums, waterparks, casinos, shopping....I could go on and on. I'd do 2 weeks at the Poly and 2 weeks at the Atlantis. Now that would be heaven.
