I don't care for sweet potato pie but I do like sweet potato baked in Karo Syrup (the clear one) and butter. if you like I'll forward you my mother-in-law's recipe. I never ate sweet potato until this came along.

And I forgot to mention there are so many pecans this year falling off of the trees. I have heard that they are really expensive and to think we get pounds of them. so, we will have pralines until we get sick.

And I'll definitely will be watching the Macy's parade, especially since (former New Kid) Joey McIntyre will be in the parade. :)

Now I've really got to make sure I see that...I used to be such a fan of theirs....I even met him once about 3 years ago....his eyes are even bluer up close and personal.... ;)

You are so lucky...how did you meet him?

I'm still a fan of his...my husband is kind of of jealous of that fact...

He made an appearance a couple of years ago in Rhode Island promoting his solo career, so I couldn't pass up the chance...of course, I was the oldest one in line.... :)

He was very sweet though.

we're going to be minus one this year though, as my younger brother is afraid to fly, and won't be joining us... :(

We do that for Xmas here, although we don´t need to rent a hall...we do it at my uncle´s yard. One side of my family is big and we are more than 20 cousins some of them already married and with kids, so we are a big bunch. We have done videos, family trivia which we play against the other families and is so much fun! etc., and we have a special Xmas carrol that my grandpa composed mentionning all the family members and we sing it every year (very cool when u are young, not cool at all when you bring a bf to the reunion... ) :)

I´m trying to convince my mom to celebrate Thanksgiving here this year....there is a frozen turkey in the fridge and I volunteered to make the mashed potatoes (hehe) and find the cranberry sauce! I´m gonna start my tradition here..... haha;) There is always so much to be thankful for!
