What are the best rides if you're alone?

Ok, so some people like to go to the parks by themselves, but the majority use to go with other people. Imagine that for one day, you're alone in the World (well, there are other guests but no one that you know). What are the rides that you think are the most enjoyable to ride if you're visiting alone?

As an example, I think that being alone on Pirates or Splash is not that fun, because you like to show each other the details and talk or sing with others, whereas on Mission:Space you have to focus on your screen and it's easy to engage a conversation with strangers are you are just 4 per pod. It is also fun to hear them scream and all so it is easier to do it alone. Same for Rockn Roller Coaster, which is a short ride and enjoyable even if you're riding alone.

What about you?

I agree that the shorter rides are better for a lone rider, but i also think the rides that have some kind of interaction are good for lone riders, such as buzz because you have something to concetrate on,the ride, not the person you are riding with!!:king:

all of the 3D shows, Mission: SPACE and Test Track, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, all of the Fantasyland rides, I like Splash alone almost as much as in a group, RnRC is fine.

I go alone sometimes to the parks, and I must say these are my Favorites:

  • ANY ride with a single rider line!
  • Space Mountain (hey, you sit alone anyway!)
  • Primeval Whirl
  • Buzz
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Thunder Mountain
  • Splash Mountain
  • 3D shows, you're not supposed to talk anyway!
  • Star Tours
  • Fireworks
  • Mad Tea Party
  • Barnstormer
  • AA shows
  • Live Shows

those are my choices!

I go to the parks alone all the time, and I've ridden nearly everything. The only things I've never been on alone are the Teacups, the Barnstormer, the Speedway, Dumbo, Triceratops Spin (or whatever that's called), the Magic Carpets, and... I think that's it. Everything else I've done alone, many times. I used to feel self conscious, but I don't anymore. Going to the parks alone is fun, because I can do whatever I want, however many times I want, and don't have to worry about what someone else wants to do.

In my cayse, when I'm alone I usually stroll on the small paths, trying to check out what I often miss when I'm with others. I try the small rides, as I find the big ones not as fun alone. :( What you say is true, but discovering together and sharing the fun will double my pleasure. I find my behavior at the park to be very different when I'm alone (more relaxed, don't like to shout nor run etc)......

I am the opposite. I prefer the dark rides when I am alone, since I can focus more on the details and enjoy the rides more. Things like Buzz and Teacups are more expereience rides, so that is more a shared thing, at least to me.

My favorite thing when alone, however, is to just wander around. Especially World Showcase and Adventureland - since there is so much to see. Animal Kingdom is good that way, too. I've done all the rides byu now, so it's not like I HAVE to go on them. I get to ejoy the park as a whole a lot more.

I haven't really experienced a lot of the rides alone...but when you are alone, it seems to be more fun. The reason is that you're all by yourself...and you don't have to listen to some of their ramblings. My little brother likes to narrarate things so being by myself on certain rides are wonderful. I also ask that he doesn't ride with me unless he is quiet the entire time. But I do believe that being along is more fun because you can take things at your own pace...and not worry about what the other people want to go on...

I think any of the "big" rides are fine if you're alone. Like others have posted, SM trains only accept one rider per car anyway. I've ridden the HM many many times alone. Mission:Space is the same way. So, while you may not have someone to hang out with, you can always ride something and have a good time alone.

ANY ride with a single rider line!

I concur! I really like that more rides have single rider lines. I've used that every time I've gone on Test Track. I usually end up going to the parks by myself when I go (not many of my friends are big Disney fans like me) so I don't midding sitting by myself or whatever. I sometimes have more fun by myself than when I'm with other people because I see the attractions I want when I want.

EXACTLY...Because I get hungry but I have to wait for the rest of my family to get hungry...or thirsty. But then they shop too much. I don't go down there to shop...unless I have nothing better to do...But I usually save shopping for after the parks close and I don't want to go to sleep.

I found very few attractions to actually be better when I went to WDW alone. Disney Quest comes to mind. Also, the ones the kids won't go on due to height restrictions or scariness factors were better because there was no "baby swap" coordination necessary.

The best part of going alone is spoiling yourself. When I wanted to go on the Tower of Terror four times in a row, I did it.

Hit the nail on the head... Thats the benefit of going by yourself... Setting your own schedule, following your own pace... Sometimes, I prefer it that way

As has been said before, many of the rides are fun because you can focus totally on the detail of the ride, especially the dark rides. E tickets are fun and I tend to eavesdrop on others, which can be pretty darn entertaining in itself (except when they are talking about feeling sick on MS  ).

The only thing I don't like as much doing alone is watching something like Wishes. That always leaves me wanting to share the time/experience with someone I know.

TTA when the sun is going down. Sometimes I'll get on and just keep riding. I enjoy seeing the glorious sunset around the castle, and looking down on all the people while I'm just kicking back and relaxing.

I agree about the TTA. I was at Disney World myself from June 14th to the 23rd. I love that ride because it's not too fast but not too slow. And you get to look at things from a new point of view. I was able to look in at the new Stitch ride as it was under construction. You had to be quick because the ride is quicker and the windows aren't that big...I also got to see a cut out of stitch against the wall...but he wasn't painted yet...
