Was looking around the on line reservation system and was given an option for The Plaza, any information on this place? Good? Bad? Meh?
Thanks!

I've eaten at the Plaza twice and enjoyed it. Sandwiches were good and the shakes are really yummy.

It's located right at the end of Main St. USA around the corner of the last building (opposite Casey's). It's off the main path so most probably never even see it. I actually never knew about it until just a few years ago, myself. I probably walked right passed it going to tomorrow land and never saw it dozens of times!

This should pinpoint the entrance: http://goo.gl/maps/N3rI

The Plaza is my Mom's favoriate place for lunch in the MK. Like Kristamouse said, its on Main Street next door to the Creamery.

They have good sandwhiches and salades. And since its by the creamry the deserts are awesome. Its small so its never that loud and it has that feel of a turn of the centry parlor. Also, the resturant is visted by the Mayor and other Main Street characters at times. Doesn't always happen, but its always fun when it does.

DD tried it for the first time last week...DH and I have not yet tired. They liked it alot and said food was good but would have been better if it was hot. They loved the sweets..they said they were HUGE!!!!! We will try it next trip! They did say it was a very small place.

As others have mentioned, Plaza Restaurant is on the right as you walk down the end of Main Street as you walk towards the Tomorrowland Noodle Station.

Its small, but not cramped and decor is similar to the Crystal Palace with the late 19th century theme. I've only seen the Main Street Characters show up once, but they were funny and interacted with everyone before moving on offstage.

We had never been there ourselves until 2008, but its probably our favorite table service in MK now. Sandwiches are excellent with quality ingredients and they are large enough that you'll want to split them so there's room for dessert. The desserts are great as well so try to save room.

If you're looking for something different and a slower paced lunch, I'd recommend making some reservations, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Must visit table service option. Then again, anything beats CS for me.
Like others stated, not too big yet not too cramped. Out of the sun and a great spot for a burger and shake to get you through the second half of your day.
Not a tremendous menu, but it's MK so what do you expect.
Aside from the Angus burger, I can also vouch for the Chicken Strawberry Salad.
I've only eaten there once, but we were paid a visit by a Main St. character. She popped in and took over the entire restaurant for about 5 minutes. Everyone was enthralled. Good times.

Going back this November.

We went last year for lunch on our last day, and then left the park to go to the airport. It was such a great place to reflect on the trip before we had to say goodbye. We've decided to make it a tradition for all future trips. One last place to absorb the surroundings before making the last walk down Main Street and saying goodbye.

We love the Plaza too! I took a picture in March (for another friend who wanted to know where it was,) but it was surrounded by scrims!

On the right hand side is the Ice Cream Shop/ Main Street.

To the left is The Plaza. If you look carefully, you can see the "check in station" for The Plaza in one opening, and the door to The Plaza right next to it. There is even a Cast Member out front checking someone in.

HTH!

ETA - UGGGGHHHHH!!!!! Flikr has changed and I can't seem to post the photo, BUT go & get the Strawberry Chicken Salad - it's awesome! :)

I wanted to say that if you are paying out of pocket, this is a great TS restaurant in terms of value. The prices are quite a bit lower than other TS options. If you are on the DDP, you don't get as much cost-wise from using a TS credit there but I wouldn't let that stop you from giving it a try.

when we make our adr's each member of our family gets an equal number of picks. my daughter (now 20) uses the plaza as her first pick each trip. it has a simple american menu that's the same for both lunch and dinner. although nothing beats the atmosphere of eating at crt, when inside the mk the plaza is our favorite ts. my sons daughter LOVES the cookies and milk dessert on the kids menu... the milk comes out in a little tea cup (very princess girly) the whole set up is adorable. food was good and has large portions. we've never been disappointed.

This place is wonderful. I highly recommend it. I personally vouch for/recommend the veggie sandwich with the broccoli slaw instead of french fries. And you must get some sort of dessert! :slurp:
